Beautiful area with some amazing stone structures. Nice loop trails leading to multiple points of interest. Rock house cliffs and balance rock were my favorites here. The pond is nice though lots of beaver activity in the area. Nice view from the porch of the shelter. Decent amount of parking in the gravel parking lot.

Nice pull off on your way towards the Quabbin, or light home in the afternoon. The rock house are the large boulders near the parking area, with a opening to pass through (with only one tight spot you need to crouch under)

The area continues with a trail that loops the pond. There is a good variety of mushrooms, and other forest fauna to be found along the trail. You’ll note many of the trees around the pond have had visits from beavers. At the height of the trail is a cabin overlooking the pond.

There are longer trails to take if you want to do more exploring.

Looking for a great place to hike, or just lose yourself in all of the stunning beauty of Mother Nature & her glorious gifts? Definitely head here, year round! Perfect spot for individuals, couples, or families to spend a morning, afternoon, or the full day, checking out trails & exploring all that these beautiful woods have to offer. Plentiful parking lot. Easy to find location. Lots of wildlife, including but not limited to frogs, turtles, beavers & more! Easy marked trails, that are covered in various colored paint on trees, clear signage for convenience, just don't forget to pack plenty of water or other cold beverages to avoid dehydration! A lovely place that's great for all ages & best of all, it's free to enjoy. Check it out!

This is a gorgeous, clean park with lots of boulders, caves and forest to explore. There’s a beautiful man made pond and trails all throughout. There is a small cabin overlooking the pond with information posted on the walls about the area. It’s dog friendly and the various visitors we encountered were friendly too.

Nice little short loop trails back here, but you can make a decent trip of a few miles if you kinda zigzag around and hit all of them... but some pretty cool views of the little pond from the cabin as well as down below, and all the trails are clear and the little mud crossing bridges are updated regularly as well 😎👍

Lovely hiking spot with easy trails and beautiful rocks and pond. Easy and fairly short walks along the trails. I would recommend downloading the trail map first tough, since the trails are color marked, but only a couple posts show the full map.

Driven by here thousands of times over the years. Rock formations all over in here kids loved it. You do have to keep an eye on your Lil ones. There are some high ledges. Very cool calm and peaceful here. Trails are marked very well with different routes to take. You could make this an hour to a couple hours easily.

Great area for hiking. Moderate due to mixed terrain and some elevation. Beavers had built a dam that flooded over part of the inner loop trail. Still a nice place, lots of shade so great in the hot weather.
