Really nice visitor center. The short (15m?) movie provided an interesting native view of the mighty Saguaro and is well worth watching. The rangers and other employees there were all extremely knowledgeable and very happy to share what they knew. And of course they had a fully stocked gift store and fresh cold water to refill your bottles with. If you have an hour while you're driving through, it's definitely worth the stop.

It was soooo hot. Do not go and visit during afternoons. You need to go early in the morning or you will not be able to get out from your car. The visitor center was nice and it has so many things to discover. Especially their animal section must see. We loved it. The temperature was 118 while we were there and we could not step out to explore. Also, the saguaros are magnificent to see.

A very cool place to visit.

Staff are friendly, and the volunteers are too.

Store is well stocked with great things.

The ranger talks are excellent and very much worth visiting. The video presentation is a good watch as well.

Restrooms are well maintained and clean.

A good number of short trails around the center for those with limited mobility with a host of signposted desert plants.

A great 1st stop when visiting the west park. Friendly rangers to help answer questions. There are a couple of short walking paths here to take advantage of. Also a 15 minute video of the park. Just a good combination of information, service, and gift shop.

Great place to start your experience of understanding of the AZ desert and Saguaro National Park. Super helpful ranger who's master with a map. She'll set you on your way - short or extended visit of hiking or sightseeing.
