Extremely beautiful and remote area, with large rock formations scattered across the desert plains.

Great parking area to hike from. I would be worried a bit right now about our van if I brought it up here. There were two suburbans that made it just fine. Love hiking/running the canyon. It even was snowing today. Great area to take kids hiking.

Aside from the 60+mph winds and rain, the camping here was pretty good. Bathrooms are well-kept and clean. No animals were seen, but a scorpion was crawling near the tent when we packed up. A few rattlesnakes were heard in the area behind the campground. And some crazy guy was yelling his lungs out at 11pm one night. Aside from that, it's a good campground if you want to get away from society for a bit.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is definitely neat. I went looking for a place to take an after work hike and ended up semi-offroading through here checking out the scenery instead. Id highly recommend bringing a truck or SUV to drive through it, and should mention this is more of a UTV spot than one for hiking.

Very simple yet very beautiful trail no real need to air down but it makes the road feel a whole lot softer if you do. The beginning feels like a washboard road

I went here on a Jeep run. However, this is an easy road which you can traverse with a regular 2 wheel drive vehicle. Well worth the picturesque drive.

Totally beautiful spot. Great colors of nature, fascinating rocks and terrain and hiking. Easy road for pick up trucks or smaller vehicles. Wouldn’t suggest trying with an RV or if towing a trailer.

Beautiful. Worth the detour through the one-way driving loop. There are places to pull off, get out and take photos. Areas clearly formed by water when this area was a lake (prehistoric times), plus clearly visible sediment layers, then areas where the layers are slanted from earthquake movement. Greens, reds, browns, beautiful color variations in the formations.
