Looked at my laptop and warned me that the swollen battery was probably a larger problem (as I suspected). No complaints about his assessment of my laptop or his repair of my mom's. However. I needed a new laptop and, trying to shop local, bought my new laptop through him. Paid $1000. I can find the same laptop with a touchscreen (mine does not have, but it has been about 3 months since I purchased so the extra feature cost and time cancel each other out) for about $500 online. I understand mark up, but he should be getting a reseller price and even at retail that's ridiculous. Repairs may be fine, but I never should've deviated from buying my computers at Costco. I'm so mad at myself for just trusting him and ordering it on the spot instead of researching myself.

My laptop had a bulging battery which posed a significant risk, and to make matters more challenging, a few of the screws ripped off the bottom plate and there were also stripped screws involved. They efficiently removed the stripped screws and replaced the hazardous battery with what seems to be a high-quality replacement.

He was so personable and up front with possible outcomes, not to mention willing to work with you.
When we got back in my car my son was like "I would love to be friends with that guy." I agreed.

He was able to help me out with a power button issue. He was very upfront about the cost and I appreciate that. He fixed it in about 3-4 business days and even cleaned out my fans and case glass. That was a nice touch.

The only thing I’d say is he’s pretty busy with a lot of folks on there when I come by but that’s often a good sign if you have a lot of customers.

When I went to pick my PC up he even went outside with me to open up my car door so I didn’t drop my computer. He’s kind and easy to work with guy. I will definitely use him if I ever run into issues again.

I have too many good things to say about Shawn and his business, so I will do my very best to keep this concise.

Shawn was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly in my opinion, honest. I unknowingly came into the shop right after they had closed. Despite them being closed, Shawn stayed hours after they closed to make sure that my computer was up and running and was in good condition. He also made sure to check multiple systems on my computer so he could properly diagnose the issue, and not chalk up the issues to one system when it could have been multiple.

During the entire process, Shawn answered my questions, taught me things I could do in the future to keep my computer running well, and even showed me how to do some repairs on my own so I could save some money. He was incredibly knowledgeable. Additionally, like I said, this process took a couple of hours, and not once did he make me feel like I was overstaying my welcome. In his mind, he was going to stay until we solved the problem. Whether that took 2 hours, or 4 hours, he was there.

Finally, Shawn was incredibly honest. I know a little about computers, but of course not even close to his level. Because of this, he could have easily charged me for things that I didn't even know existed and I would have complied because I simply don't know. Instead, Shawn did the exact opposite. He clearly ruled out certain issues that he could have charged me an insane amount for without me knowing, but he didn't. The issue was fairly minor and that was it. No shady moves from Shawn at all, and that was so nice to see!

I told Shawn this and I will live by this... anything computer related whether I run into another issue, or I need to buy a part, I will be going through Puget Sound Computer Repair. Shawn's professionalism, knowledge, and honesty set an extremely high bar that no other computer repair store will ever hit.
