I visited Puffers Pond outside of swimming season, but it still looked like a lovely local swimming spot. The small beach is inviting, and the hiking trails around the pond are a highlight. The trails are well-maintained, offering peaceful walks through the woods with beautiful views of the water. It’s a great spot for both relaxation and light outdoor activity.

While parking is limited, the natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it worth the visit. Puffers Pond is a hidden gem and a must-see for anyone in the Amherst area!

Great spot to hang out with friends near water. Not very crowded, it's quiet and isolated. Make sure to complete the Puffer pond trail which is a 0.8 mile loop around the Puffer pond (walkable from end of April to fall season). On the way, you will also encounter the beautiful Puffer falls. There are also a few marked trails around. They are only walkable around mid April- October.

Very nice easy walk around the pond, with other opportunities for more challenging hikes in the area. I'll be back in the spring when the waterfall will be flowing.

We love walking to Puffer's Pond on a hot summer day. We prefer the main beach and often swim across to jump off the rope swing. The hike around the pond is easy and fun for the family too.

I walk around Puffers a lot. It has a nice hiking trail and some hidden trails that branch out. It's a fun spot to be and very pretty to look at all year long. I avoid swimming here due to the high water temp but the incoming stream is perfectly fine. The parking can be really cramped at times but they built a lot to the East of the pond.

We followed the GPS, and it didn't lead us to the waterfalls. You have to go to Summer St. on the other side, park and walk to the bridge it was beautiful out there. Its a small beach with several hiking trails and lots of wildlife. The Pvta goes out there. They have porta-potties and handicap parking.

There are lots of nice walking trails at Puffer's pond. I took a short walk around the perimeter of the pond, but I also enjoyed taking the Robert Frost trail to the reservoir and back all on the same day.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I went there during one of those got days in the summer and I was a really happy camper. If you ate into cliff jumping, please take the time to travel to Puffers Pond. They, have just the cliff for you.
The beach and the water are clean, the people are respectful, and there was no loud music. It is also kid and family friendly, so being your little ones, they will also have a good time.
