Hosting a tented event is no small undertaking. I reached out to numerous companies and Preferred was by far the most reasonable. Not to mention, Nick and Kristine are the most amazing people to work with. They were super responsive and worked as best as they could within our budget. As the wedding approached, Nick coordinated set up with our outside lighting vendor. I genuinely feel so much gratitude for this company. Beyond their work flow, the tent and rentals themselves were stunning. My reception tent was a vision and a dream come true.

I wish I could give Nick and his team more than 5 stars. We had a quick engagement but we really wanted a giant wedding. With the help of Nick and the team, we pulled off a 300 person backyard wedding without a single issue. Nick keeps it real with you the whole time to help you make the best decisions about your event and to me, it speaks volumes that he shows up the day the tent goes up to ensure that everything goes well. He even offered me emotional support when I had a mild bridezilla moment 😂. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Thank you all!

I want to take a few minutes to thank the entire staff at Preferred Events for the outstanding experience we recently had. I rented a huge 40 x 60 foot heated tent with clear sides Thanksgiving weekend for my husband’s 90th birthday. Never having done an event like that before, I had a lot of questions and concerns. Every staff member was spot on in their knowledge and recommendations, from Kristin to Stephanie to Nick and the entire installation team. The tent put our party over the top. I received so many compliments from my guests, all of them stating they had never seen a tent like that before and everyone was greatly impressed. It made our celebration that much more perfect. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Nick is the owner of the company and we have used him in the past and have had great results. He’s usually professional , punctual and always available for a quick event; my wife and I decided to try him for a large Christmas Eve party and he had recommended utilizing two tents for our somewhat awkward space on our outside deck. His idea made sense so we agreed. Day of the event the snow started to melt and leak into the middle of the dining area, I called he promptly answered and apologized and recommended I use duck tape Incase anymore drainage came through. As we were lucky enough to have no further melting or precipitation I was just going to let this go as a one time mishap… however at around 930p the heater stopped working entirely and he had mentioned that there was enough propane for “6-7 hours” .. mind you the party started at 630pm .. so as I’ve always gotten prompt responses before I reached out to him ..no response , no apology , no follow up. He’s a great kid seems to have a good operation going but just not there yet.. if you have large extravagant events, I would say you’d have to find another company.

My wedding venue was The Lakehouse in Bayshore, NY. They have an outside deck which they told me I could customize though rarely done with the winter elements. I hired Preferred Events on Long Island to wrap and heat it, and their work was phenomenal. Not only did the guests compliment the setup, but the staff also praised it, saying emphatically, "It doubled the venue in size and looks and feels fantastic."

This was on January 11th during an extremely cold winter, with temperatures at 19 degrees. Yet, the bartender, serving drinks outdoors, was comfortable in just a t-shirt with his sleeves rolled up.

I sent photos to Nick, who then devised a plan. I requested a meeting at the venue, which he accommodated, and the final execution exceeded my expectations.

5/5 stars! If I could give more, I would... they truly knocked it out of the park!

We had a beautiful wedding this weekend with everything provided by Preferred from tents, to glasses, to catering supplies, we turned our kitchen and backyard into a gorgeous and elegant venue! Everything was delivered professionally and timely, and Kristine and Nick helped me through the whole process kindly since I needed A LOT of hand holding. I highly recommend!

I have used this company multiple times for tent table and chair rentals for everything from my kids parties to holiday parties. They are fair and professional. The employees take great care and have a great amount of pride in what they do. Setup and take down are quick and easy and damage free when they are on the job. I would recommend this company to anyone that asks for a recommendation.

We used preferred events for our backyard wedding this weekend. Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING!!! I can’t even say enough about how great she was, she answered all my questions that i had leading up to the wedding and was there all day the day of to set up. We lost our wedding planner the week before and Jennifer stepped in and was incredible! she made sure everyone and everything was where it was supposed to go and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The backyard looked amazing. From the initial appointment jennifer and nick were great and everyone with the company was very professional and helpful. We highly recommend using preferred events for any of your parties!!
