Fun approximately 2 mile trail that gives you some elevation to soak up the sun. I like hiking along the Ridge line, which gives you a good amount of up and downs and a steep descent. Bring good shoes as the trail can be slippery at times. Some shade but mostly sunny. Great for walking the dog, a little pump in the legs, and taking in the sites of the canyons. It’s usually pretty quiet and can be as easy or difficult as you would like it to be. There are also some concrete stairs if that is your thing.

This is a gorgeous hike with spectacular views, if you opt to take the scenic way up.
It’s short but quite steep, so wear your best traction shoes.
There are rattle snakes and mountain lions advisories throughout, so keep your furry babies on the leash.

Amenities - Bathroom. That's about it. The scenery around this, uh, park, is lovely. I say "uh" because it hardly feels like a park. It's a sandy, fairly rugged terrain, walking trail that isn't that long. It has really big trees and lots of shade and that's nice but I can't figure out who would want to go here frequently. I'm spoiled, I live in Santa Clarita, on the other side of the 5 and every single park has something beyond....walking. B-Ball courts, paved walking trail, tennis courts, a pool but all of them have picnic tables and most have grills. This place? You know, if you like to walk dirt trail then yeah, it's ok but even that you might as well drive about a quarter mile and go to Jake Kuredjian park. You can get the same exercise, bigger trees, just as much shade and a better view of the Santa Susanna mountains. Nothing wrong here, just nothing at all worth the trip for me and my dogs.

Came for the staircase. That was my warm up.Turns out the mountains here have stair like steps. Mother Nature is amazing.

Nice quiet canyon for cycling, running or hiking. Never too busy. Trail to California's 1st commercial oil well is smooth asphalt. Regularly see wildlife.

Hit the stairs of some great exercise or take a hike on one of the many trails. I always see the best of Southern California nature here at Pico park. Its unfortunate that we are driving more and more animals away from their homes to make room for more overpriced houses! Anyways, this is a beautiful place.
