Gorgeous! Visited in mid-October for the Petit Jean performance festival. Weather and views were amazing. Peaceful and expansive. Good walking and driving trails. Clean and well-equipped cabins. Dog-friendly. Air conditioning and heating.

I’m from Colorado and we have a state with fantastic State and National Parks.
While visiting my youngest son and his family because they moved to Arkansas this last summer for a better way of life, I was blown away by the beauty of Arkansas.
Lindsay’s (my son’s wife) parents have also moved to the Conway area. Steve, Caulene, Lindsay, Lucy(GK) and I drove to Petit Jean State Park (wish I knew how to pronounce that). We were all blown away by this beautiful place.
Arkansas has taken a beautiful area and created a wonderful place to camp, sleep, eat, hike, fish, swim and many more enticing activities.
The visitors center and especially the lodge offer outstanding views of the park.
Whatever you do, don’t take my word for it, go find out for yourself.
I hope in the near future to take my R-POD 179- Travel Trailer and hang around for a few days instead of the few hours we spent there recently.

We were in the oldest loop & the old growth trees were wonderful. The pileated woodpeckers were plentiful & other birds sang to us. The downfall, for us, was the site was uneven & rocky. The pad was very lumpy & @ a severe slope downward. We had the camper completely nose down & still not quite level, but we lived with it. The site was spacious, but the pad for the table had a big step up. We're disabled & it was challenging, to say the least. We were in site 101 D loop. If you are young & able bodied, it should be great for you...except for the sloping camper pad. Overall, a nice park. This is just our experience there.

Absolutely gorgeous as always! It was an amazing experience waking up in my Fiance's arms, in an incredible cabin with nothing but the sounds of nature surrounding us! Tanyard Springs is worth EVERY penny and every second of the drive to get there!!

The park is very clean and amenities are plentiful. I've been visiting since my dad brought me here as a child so it's always held a special place in my heart. I visit from St. Louis and always try to fit in a trip. I love the overlook. It's one of my favorite places in Arkansas. We hiked Cedar Falls trail and, while it's tough on the knees on the way down, it's very much worth the walk. Mather Lodge is always a beautiful place to stop in and rest. Just a beautiful place all together.

This is a very lovely park with something for everyone. RV parking with huge sites especially in Area A, Yurt rentals (3 bunk beds and comes with a canoe to use but too far from the bathrooms for some people, 300ft) and tent sites. There’s a very nice shared use path about 2 miles long that ends at Mather Lodge which has a nice restaurant/bar/rooms. The views are breathtaking and many trails to hike.

Petit Jean is a beautiful location!! The food at Mathers Lodge is so good. The trails are so beautiful. Petit Jean is special to me because my husband proposed to me there, in front of the waterfall in 2018. Highly recommend visiting the park!!

There was some nice trails and views. However, I felt like that was this park offered. It states there are pools. One is at the lodge and if you are not renting from them, you can not use it. The other was $6.50 a person. It cost us $44 a night to stay there.
