I'm so happy we found PCH Scuba. Although they are over 30 miles away, its worth the drive. They welcome you with open arms and Brett the owner immediately makes you feel like family. We met the instructors and they stress safety while understanding the stress and challenges we endured being newbies. They were patient and encouraging throughout the whole process. Fast forward to 11/18 and 11/19. We were excited and nervous, Steve and Johnny, our instructors, gave us the confidence to jump in and scuba in open water. What an experience!!!! This is now something we can enjoy confidently. PCH Scuba is now family and couldn't ask for a better group and experience.

To say they not only satisfied but exceeded my expectations is a gross understatement. I am disabled, and PCH Scuba was the first shop in the area to welcome me with open arms. They not only took their time making sure I was ready to be certified, but they also took the time and effort to really make sure I was comfortable In the water. My instructors were Brett and Krystle, and they both went far and beyond the basic open water certification to really make sure that I was comfortable.

If there is any sentence to reflect my feelings about the whole process, it would be this: any other dive shop cares about making you a customer. PCH Scuba cares about making you a diver.

PCH is awesome!! I surprised my girl with the Catalina Island Open Water Diver package for 2 and we were both very pleased. The instructors were talented, thorough, efficient, and fun to be around. They were able to squeeze in a ton of information and get all of the book work and tests finished in one day. The next day we did our pool diving to get acclimated with our gear and learn the necessary skills to be comfortable in and under the water. We spent the next weekend in Catalina Island and the PCH staff handled everything from ferry tickets and accommodations to making sure we brought the right gear and they even had dinner reservations for the entire group both nights. The Casino Point Dive park is a great spot to learn to dive and we had a really fantastic time diving and hanging with the group after. I highly recommend PCH. Brett and his entire team are top notch people.

Scuba is one of those activities that I’ve always wanted to try, but I had no idea how to start. A few friends recommended I contact PCH Scuba to learn about their beginner/certification courses and the process to become a certified diver. Their website is easy to navigate and provided all the information I needed to schedule a class that worked for my schedule, and receive all the training materials that I needed prior to class. The team at PCH Scuba, Brett and Kim, reached out to me prior to class to make sure I received the class course material, that I understood I needed to do some prep-work before class, and gave me a general timeline for the training weekend so that I could plan accordingly. They were eager to answer all my questions in class and were equally patient with me during the pool training. Eventually I was able to go on an international trip with PCH Scuba and I wasn’t feeling too sure of my skills when I got there. One of the dive masters from PCH basically sacrificed a day of vacation to dive with me, essentially one on one, so that I could dive at my own pace and skill level and get over those last minute fears. PCH Scuba creates a family atmosphere that is really important in a sport that you do as a group. I highly recommend PCH Scuba if you are looking to get in to scuba or if you already dive and are looking for a great group of people to dive with.

I'm proud to be a graduate of PCH Scuba! I got my open water certification through this shop a little over a month ago and, ever since, have been eager to begin what I hope will be a lifelong hobby.

The certification process was phenomenal! The staff were knowledgeable and patient and there was an average 1:4 instructor-student ratio during the water sessions. At no point did I feel unprepared or unsafe. And yet, the quality products and services offered at this shop are very fairly priced!

Throughout the time spent with him during certification, the owner Brett often insisted that, above all else, he's in the business to spread a passion for scuba and, ultimately, the preservation of our oceans, and it shows.

If you're looking to get started in scuba diving or advance you knowledge and skills further, this is the place to go!

I cannot overstate the quality of training I got with PCH Scuba. It is not just a sales floor, though they do have a good variety of quality gear too. Their emphasis on safety and the fundamentals has given me the confidence to dive in some very challenging waters. No matter the level of training you need, this is the place to go. From PADI open water to IDC, PCH continues to produce skilled divers. But what really sets them apart for me is that they treat me like family. Brett and Kim have always welcomed me like a long lost brother. I have referred multiple people to them and they all report the same experience.
And, though it doesn’t have anything to do with diving, their advocacy for stray dogs really warms my heart. The world needs more people like Brett and Kim.
