There's no sign for it. Just use your Google maps. There's a small space to park, or you can park a bit further away by the creek. There's a mark on the pavement where the trail begins. It is a very steep hike. Bring something to steady yourself and shoes with grip. The grotto is definitely better after a good rain, however, the side of the mountain will be mud slides, and more difficult to climb up. Bring water and snacks.

Absolutely beautiful short hike but not the best for small children or elderly.
The trail is difficult to see at first but once you do your good. Just stay to the left at the mountain

It was an amazing hike, a short one, but very steep. It's completely worth it, though, because after 20ish minutes, you enter and will find a little but amazing waterfall. It feels to be in a prehistoric site because there are massive rocks and lots of trees that create an amazing atmosphere being in the background.
I'd totally take everyone that loves hiking because even if it's an easy hike, it gives you a terrific view.

Beautiful little hike! The trailhead isn't marked super clearly, so finding it can be a bit of a challenge, depending on how thick the foliage is.

The beginning of the hike is pretty moderate, but it does get pretty challenging once you get close to the grotto. Lots of large rocks and boulders to maneuver to actually get to the waterfall/overhang. But the cliffsides on the ~1 mile hike to get there are stunning!

I can't wait to go back during a time where the water is flowing a bit better, I imagine early spring is the best time of year to visit.

Absolutely stunning grotto. The trail has been marked better recently. (Spray paint on the highway and a rock path leading away from there) The first hill is a bit steep but when you get to the bluff its flatter and easier. Crawling under the gigantic boulders and cliffs to get into the grotto really give you the feeling that you've crossed over into a secret world! The cliffs getting there are dotted with pocket erosion making the rock look like a sponge. And there are 2 small caves in the bluff face to check out on the way. Once in the grotto in addition to the spectacular falls itself there are several cascades and pools and semi caves tucked away as the water flows down that beg to be explored.

Beautiful hike. Trail head is not marked. There's a pull off across the road from the trail head. Immediately, the trail goes almost straight up the side of the hill. This is a moderate to hard in terms of technical, but it's fast. There's a lot of rocks and the path is not clearly marked. The views and the grotto are absolutely worth it. If children are experienced at hiking, they could manage the trail.

This post is mainly to help u find a landmark to look for as there is no signs and Google maps isn't exact. Look at pics...there is a turn off for parking, this is the only thing to look for. So start looking when Google says you are within a few minutes. I came from Fayetteville, so as I was driving down 123, haw creek was on my left and so is this parking spot. Also as u can see, some people park on the side of the road. Go across the road and start walking to the right. You will see an arrow painted on the ground, you will also see arrows painted on a couple trees. It's a steep hike for 10-15 minutes. The trail splits at some point. Just keep to the left going up the hill. Its about 25 min walk all together. . If this has helped you, please hit the helpful button

I love this waterfall in the way the way the boulder ? all over the place. So it's more better than being over Petit Jean or Pinnacle mountain. In my opinion you know but I like the way it is I will go back anytime any day I've been a lot of a couple waterfall but I'm surprised I miss this place the last 30 years but yeah I'll come back but it's more place I hike place to place at waterfall, river and creek. Oh sorry cave. Be careful going out there be caution there are rock lose along the trail. Be safe and be smart keep the place clean possible. Don't leave trash behind please respect the Arkansas State Nature .
