Negative experience this family was harassing us.. following us … being disrespectful and loud. Bringing extra trash, leaving everything behind… the two ladies were telling me that they usually scope, I caught them looking through my things while I was in the water… disgusting behavior.. it’s a public place Yes am aware of that ,BUT please be considerate FOR others and nature. Leave things alone that are not yours. !!

Trail was a bit difficult but fun. Bring water and hiking shoes!

Loved the little hike to the Ortega falls. It is a moderate difficulty and does not have a lot of elevation, but is a bit steep in a few places. The view at the fall is well worth the 15 minute hike. Parking can be a bit of a challenge when it gets busy. There are quite a few graffiti at the waterfall, but they are nice and add a bit of urban charm to the place.

The falls are good. Expect lots of rock climbing. After all the hike u can enjoy nice falls that you can wade and splash into. If you're planning to catch a waterfall, go in the spring time. Be careful and watch your step when walking around. Overall very rocky but a good place to explore. The only thing that spoils your experience is the amount of silly grafitis and Lots of trash left behind from people who don't appreciate nature. The parking is by the road and very limited. Not worth traveling to from far distances but it's ok for a local time for a day hike. Overall we had a fun day with our family. Kids enjoyed the little splash.

Short hike from Ortega Highway in Cleveland National Forest leads to this picturesque waterfall. Water flow is abundant in Spring after a strong rainy and snowy winter. The hike is a bit rugged and steep in a couple of places. There are three areas one can hike to: the top of the waterfall which is more difficult, the middle which is easiest and where a beautiful freshwater pond is formed, and the base which meanders down towards the short valley floor. This waterfall slows to a trickle in summer and disappears in fall.

From the parking spaces on both sides of the road, you can see the approximate location of the waterfall. Listen to the sound of water and people along the general direction, and you can reach the top waterfall in about 10 minutes on foot. The drop of the waterfall is about 10 meters, the water quality is clear, and the stones of various shapes are still a good experience. The difficulty of walking is intermediate, and it is not recommended for children under the age of six. There are some steep slopes of nearly 70° that need to be climbed, especially to the top of the waterfall.

The falls are drying up, full of trash, and graffiti. Moderate to difficult due to the terrain and sharp drops. Be careful and watch your step when walking around. The parking is by the road and very limited. Not worth traveling to from far distances but it's ok for a local time filler.

This place has changed a lot over the years. It's not a long walk to the base of the falls but it'll definitely be a workout for those who enjoy climbing! The rocks closest to the water are smooth enough to slide off so be cautious and wear some good shoes. This'll always be my favorite climb.
