Julie was a truly outstanding tour guide—so friendly, knowledgeable, and a genuinely wonderful person to learn from! She brought the history of Santa Barbara to life and made the stories of its paranormal past both fascinating and fun. We have been on these tours around the world, and this one was definitely one of our all time favorites! It was such a memorable experience, and I’m really looking forward to coming back and joining another one of her tours in the future.

This tour (Santa Barbara Ghost Tours "Paranormal Pairing") is a fun and unique way to spend an evening in Santa Barbara. My tour started off at a winery, a quintessential Santa Barbara experience, and allowed the group to get to know each other and created great energy for the tour. Julie is an animated and passionate storyteller who made sure we were entertained. It was fun to walk around the older areas of downtown and learn a little about the history and myths of this charming city.

Julie is the best! My partner and I wanted to do something different on our trip to Santa Barbara, and he found this tour. Julie was very friendly, knowledgeable of the city's history, and had plenty of fun and spooky stories to keep us engaged throughout. We were referred to Julie’s company The Original Santa Barbara Ghost Tours and decided to book a wine tasting+ Ghost tour over the winter holiday break.
Her colleague Allison met with us at a local wine bar and then took us on a very interesting walking tour of the Ghostly History of Old Santa Barbara. Her stories were engaging, fun, and at times got a little spooky.
I strongly recommend booking with the “Original” Ghost Tours with Julie as I’ve heard there were some copy cat companies out there trying to imitate but of course aren’t as good.

WOW! What an amazing experience! I've been on over 50 or so ghost tours all around the world, and I have to say, Paranormal Pairing with Professor Julie has to be one of the best I've ever experienced. Firstly, Julie is incredibly personable, knowledgable, and has such a warm energy. During our wine tasting, she got to know us as well as shared her story with the paranormal, and then began to share the history of Santa Barbara and some of the places we'd get to visit. After learning a bit about mine and my partner's backgrounds and experiences (we're both actors), she tailored our tour to what she thought we'd really enjoy. I've never had a tour guide take such an interest in their guests, and it truly made for a top tier experience. She was able to answer all our questions about the different locations and stories so easily, and you could tell that she's not only well educated on the history of Santa Barbara, but that she really loves this town. She also seems to be a bit of a town celebrity - so many restaurant and shop owners knew her and waved to us as we walked, and it made me feel happy to know that we were getting the real local perspective on this town.

I should probably also mention the wine - absolutely delicious! We bought a bottle, and I can't wait to crack it open!

I also have to note, as someone who is very much a paranormal enthusiast, I appreciated her focus on safety and protection when exploring the stories in a town full of ghosts. I can confirm that no ghosts came home with us! 🙂
