I purchased a mask (04/2025) from Ann and her team. The process went incredibly smoothly. They had great selections and Joe helped me find the perfect mask. They even included a neoprene comfort sleeve. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Ann at Oceanic Ventures for all your diving needs. She chartered a fantastic dive trip for me and my daughter in the Cayman Islands. The dive charter was a small group/very personal operation. We did 5 trips, and on 2 of them my Daughter and I had our own dive guide. We dove a shipwreck and saw all kinds of marine life including a hammerhead and eagle rays. It was the trip of a lifetime for me. Thanks again Ann.

I won a gift voucher in a silent auction for a training course with oceanic ventures and was very excited to make good use of it. I went into the store, chatted with Ann and she agreed that I could wait a while before enrolling in a course. I bought a few pieces of gear and left with great impressions and recommended the store the everyone I knew. Back in march of this year ( a little over 6 months) I reached out to Ann via email and let here know I was ready to enroll in a course. My email was never returned, a few weeks later I called and left a voicemail, no call back. I called a few more times during business hours and no one picked up. I sent a follow up email and still no reply. Finally I sent another email in a new thread with no mention of the voucher and got a response. I was told to create an SSI profile, which I already had, and to check out the E learner. I messaged back including my email about the voucher and asked if I could schedule a course, I was told I would receive the information in a couple of days. It is now coming up on two months since then and no response, not even to a follow up email. Seems like they just don’t want to honor they certificate that THEY made and donated to the event. Just a warning to anyone who reads this whole thing

In late May 2024, I went on a scuba trip with friends to the Grand Cayman Islands with my dive shop, Oceanic Ventures from Houston, TX over Memorial Day weekend. This trip was set-up a little differently as we rented a three-story condo on the north side of the island and van for the week. Also, we went to the local grocery store for breakfast and lunch items.

Luckily, the local dive shop and operator called In-Depth Watersports Grand Cayman was super close to the condo. It was set-up within a venue called Macabuca - Cracked Conch Restaurant and Tiki Bar. You can think of this as a one-stop shop for diving, eating, relaxing, shopping, etc. This dive shop was simple but efficient and ready to accommodate our technical divers for their week-long class led by our fearless leader, Eric and recreational divers who came along for some fun diving.

Every day was a new adventure and super exciting for all of us. The island life was just awesome. The crew from In-Depth was super personable and helpful throughout the week. I felt totally safe while going on our dives as the crew watched over us, helped us with all of our gear, took us to less crowded sites and/or sites with minimal to zero current, etc. The boat we used was covered which was like a bonus in the summer heat. They provided water containers with ice-cold water daily. At the end of the day, we got to rinse off our gear at the private residence as well as leave most everything for the next day.

In the evenings we all ventured out for our meals. Luckily, Eric knew where all of the good places were located. I quickly learned that the portion sizes were just like in Texas which meant we would generally have leftovers for the next day. Also, I got to sample local foods / bakery items from the islands, i.e., beef patties, roti with veggies, assorted fresh fish, hardough bread, spiced bun bread, etc. I know this sounds silly but this reminded me of when I was a little girl living in the islands.

I was super happy to have gone on this dive trip with Oceanic Ventures. I got to brush off the cobwebs and practice using my sidemount gear and my UW Sealife camera. Also, I got to hang out with buddies as well as make new ones. Everything from the initial planning, our accommodations, arriving/leaving the island worked out well. I contribute this to the folks at Oceanic Venture who realize that coming up with a good plan and then executing it makes for a successful and memorable dive trip.

I would definitely recommend using both of these venues for your future travels. Just Goggle, call or visit their venues. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful.

I stopped in to find some gear for myself and son. I am from Puerto Rico but despite learning that and knowing I might only be a one time customer Anne was so helpful and knowledgeable that it was a joy to shop there. This is an old-style store packed with high quality inventory and manned by an owner who knows her business and gear. They had everything I needed and the experience was 100X better than a chain or online shopping. I’ll mail order from Anne now and stop back in when I am in town.

This place is a real gem, a diamond in the rough. As mentioned earlier, the entrance is a little hard to find -- it's around back on the second floor, and the store is small. But, they've managed to stock an impressive variety of equipment for both beginners and more experienced divers. The prices seemed competitive, but it was easily the incredibly friendly and amazing staff that won me over. They answered all of my questions, looked through their sale rack for cheaper options, and chatted with me about my upcoming dive trip. This was all during my first visit to the store. For me, this place epitomizes your friendly local dive shop.

I have been a scuba diver since 1988. Oceanic Ventures is the by far best dive shop I have ever been to. I was referred to Oceanic Ventures 2.5 years ago by a long time friend and have been completely satisfied since. They have the best rates on dive equipment anywhere and have a fantastic inventory of parts and supplies. They offer regular dive trips at great rates and I am about to leave for Belize with them. If you are looking for a shop that can take you all the way from a beginner to an advanced rebreather diver this is the place for you. Stop by and have a look. I guarantee you will have a friend for life.
