Tried the bunch menu item truffle and egg pizza. Crisp thin crust pizza with salty savory mozzarella. Lightly fried egg plopped in the middle to make it a “brunch” dish, not seasoned at all but it was nice to dip the crust in the runny yolk. There was only a ring of the truffle cream, wished it was incorporated into the entire pizza. Fresh basil was very much present. Overall above average pizza that satisfies the pizza craving. Perfect portion for one person, not too heavy on the stomach.

My wife took me to Numero28 today to celebrate my birthday and I’ve got to say that we couldn’t have planned a better way to spend this day. We had the Caponata as an Appetizer and the Diavolo Pizza and Cacio E Pepe as our main dishes. The pasta and salsas are made in-house so you could taste the freshness and we enjoyed the refreshing Sangria. We rdelighted in the unique flavors of the Caponata based on our server’s recommendation.

The star of the show was definitely our server Kyle! He was very friendly, attentive and made sure that my birthday felt special. It’s rare to feel like family and I felt the need to write this review just because of how great the service was. If you’re reading this, thank you so much for making our night that much more special! 5 stars!

Atmosphere is good! Feelt like Europe!
Food is authentic as they advertise!
However I went there for this specific pasta that gets served in a cheese wheel and that dish was not good it was way too salty I couldn’t even eat it!
But the lasagna was pretty good!
It was very expensive considering it’s not a fancy restaurant!

I love this place so much, I took it upon myself to be a regular. If you’re looking for dinner and a show, sit at the bar. You get to see the cooks work magic in the kitchen and if you’re lucky you get to be graced in the presence of the lovely AJ.

I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu really. I strongly recommend sharing all of your plates and courses so you can try more. The Caesar salad is on point. Prosciutto di Parma con Buffalo mozzarella, amazing. Arancina tradizionale, absolutely amazing. Fried cheese ravioli, need I say more? If you do more red sauce for appetizer, go for a white sauce on the entree. I loved the Bianca del diavolo pizza. The parpadelle alla bolognese hits the spot. You will be mesmerized by the size of the lasagna bolognese. The chicken parmigiana is absolutely wonderful.

Bottom line, this is the place for good food and a good time.

Also, if you know what’s best for you, get the dessert espresso martini. Best in the city, I said what I said.

Came back to to try this spot again after having it once a few years ago. Overall I would say the food is good. Not amazing, not bad, just good. The restaurant is small and with few tables and no reservations under 4 people you can expect to wait an 30mins to an hour. Our server was very Italian and recommended a few dishes and a bottle of wine that was on the special list. The wine was incredible and the lasagna was a little better than the pappardelle, but as I mentioned above it was a solid good.

1st time visiting. It was Happy Hour & was giving out of town family a tour of ATX. The waiter provided us a excellent wine recommendation. We selected one of each option on Happy Hour menu. All were excellent and the freshness of the bread and sauce were incredible. The 5 selection was enough for 6 people.

Couldn't help it, but had to order Pizza and Pasta! Then meatballs, lol.

The pizza was cooked perfectly!
We ordered a 12' Margherita pizza added sausage. It came out quickly and nice fresh, thin crust pizza with the perfect amount of cheese.

Definitely try the meatballs it's an order of 3 the sauce is so delicious.

Love how the pasta was turned in the cheese wheel. However, I felt the pasta wasn't cooked all the way it was a little hard.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating felt a little tight. Full bar available. Service was great.

The pizza was as close to real Italian pizza as I have had in a long time - delicious! And our server, Alfredo, was a gem. We will definitely come back when we visit Austin again.
