This nature center is located to your right as soon as you pay your fee at the gate, and I love how the nature center gives you easy access to the other trails. You can park at the center (which has I would say reasonably ample parking- medium sized lot), and then from behind the nature center, you can take the dirt trail that cuts to the Quail Trailhead lot and continue onto Quail Trail-- which then connects with other trails like Saddle, Baseline, and Rainbow.
The center itself is clean and has lots of helpful maps in the front. There is also an exhibit of two live animals- a snake and I think a lizard. They also had a rock display and mini exhibits about the desert. Right outside, there are picnic tables and some artwork too.
There's everything you need. Very satisfied- 5 stars!

Lots of hiking trails to select from, easy to difficult. The Visitors Center was a great resource for information about the surrounding desert.

Tried to buy annual pass. Completed registration. Questioned about home address. They don't believe USPS don't deliver to my home. Not sure why that matters. Eventually they said Senior Discount for 65+. Told them in 3 months I'd be 65. Don't care. Humiliating! The park was nice.

We parked here before a hike. The nature center is closed on Sundays, so I didn't get to go in. But I can tell you that it sure is great to have flushing toilets near a hiking area!
