This adventure was awesome, Aaron was a great guide and knows so much about the history of the waters, and the surrounding areas. We had a great time and learned so much. While on our tour he tells all about the history of the lake, pointed out wildlife, and told us all about the areas around the lake and even gave us a list of other great places to see and wonderful places to eat and shop in some other local historical towns.
This trip was well worth the time and we will be back to see it at other times throughout the year when the lake changes, we have to see it when the Lilly pads and flowers are on the water and fall colors are a must.
We thought the prices were well worth the experience and even with a tip for the captain, it was not out of line.
Thanks again Aaron, and see ya again soon.

Aaron Applebaum took my husband and me out for a sunrise tour of Caddo Lake on a beautiful, chilly November morning. Our aim was to take photographs and we got some absolutely brilliant ones. The tour was simply fantastic! As soon as we boarded, Aaron headed directly east so we could catch the glorious sunrise. He worked the boat slowly up and down the treeline so we could get our sunrise photos in a variety of backdrops. As soon as the sun was fully up, Aaron took us on a full and complete tour of every area of the lake. It was amazing how different the scenery was in the various bayous! All during the tour, Aaron was continuously telling us stories of the history of the lake. His love for the area and his love for his work shines through and we felt enriched from his company. He put us on some beautiful birds too! I highly recommend Mystique Tours and Captain Aaron for an unforgettable experience on beautiful, mysterious Caddo Lake!

Mystique tours took $100 advance and when I went along with family. Aaron Apple Baum said the ride was at 12 pm. We were a party of 12. Waited for 1 hour, there was no sign of Aaron. Finally had to book a boat ride with another party. Inspite of repeated attempts there was no response from Aaron. Please book tour at risk of similar experience.

Aaron is the best Captain and Guide in the area. He is a truly local guy whose dad started this tour business back in 1989. We asked a ton of very random questions, and he answered them all! He knows everything about the lake and the area around, and he is also very personable and nice.
Give him a call to book - always better to secure your spot in advance when times are busy.

Wow! Aaron can answer any question you have about Caddo Lake and the surrounding area. He knows where the best spots are for photos and to spot the beautiful wildlife. This was our 2nd tour with Aaron and we will most certainly book again in the future!

Aaron took my husband and I out for a sunset tour of Caddo Lake today. The weather wasn’t perfect, it was a cloudy day with no sun light, no frog, but we are very happy with the tour. During the tour, Aaron was continuously telling us stories of the history of the lake. He drove the boat to angles and even back up so we can take nice pictures. He showed up on time and called us back for things we accidentally left on the boat. He is a nice and friendly guy. We really enjoyed the tour.

It was a great experience to tour the lake on a boat and learn about its history. We also spotted a baby alligator! The tour was a bit expensive though.
