The hotel itself was absolutely horrible, halfway through the stay our entire building hot water got shut off because of some leaking, blankets are so thin, you freeze at night, heater/AC completely broken, and you have no shampoo or normal soap coming into the room, just some crappy bars. The sheets were extremely crusty when we laid down, as if not changed in weeks, and crackheads walking around everywhere making everyone feel uncomfortable.
With all that being said, staff were great, they helped move us to a better room when our neighbors were throwing an extremely loud party right next door, and we're trying to help remove crackheads, but not much avail, so thank you staff, but probably won't be staying here again because of disappointment

The room assigned to me was okay, nice and clean. Thankfully, I didn’t encounter any issues with my room (unlike what I read in some reviews).

The only disappointing part was that the elevator wasn’t working, which was a hassle since I had two large suitcases with me. The place isn’t accessible by public transport, so you’ll need a car or a ride-hailing app to get around. There’s only one restaurant nearby.

But overall, if you just need a place to stay for 1–2 days, I’d recommend it.

Location and front desk service were good. There's hot water for shower. Room has no amenities, nor hair dryer. You can only get soap and coffee at the front desk. Air in the room stinks. Mattress collapsed on one side, cable phone doesn't work. There're also addicts walking around making us uncomfortable. Free parking but no camera.

Clean, comfortable, and easy parking. Just here for a few hours before a long flight. Great to be able to shower and stretch out. Close to the airport and right off the freeway. Only drawback, restaurant was closed so I had to scramble for a good cup of coffee

I've been a Motel 6 regular. But this is the worst I had experienced. I booked mar 20 to 21 at belmont. I checked in okay, took a nap and left fir a meeting. Came back 1240 a.m.but my room's security lock was engaged. I thought how could that be, it will be engaged if somebody is inside. I went to the office/front desk and the lady there whoever you are needs training on customer service. All she keeps saying is I can't help you. Nobody is here. Nobody can help you. She didn't even think where will I sleep I can't open my room. Again she says I can't help you on that. I said I'll call the police she said go ahead they mught help you. Miss (whoever you are) you could have offered me a room temporarily until maintenance arrives in the morning. Or you could have offered to call the police and help. All you keep saying is "I can't help you on that". I don't know if this is a company policy of standard response. You don't have the right to be part of hotel business. The cops who responded are the best. They help me open the room and made sure nobody is in there. They also explained to me the possibility of this things can happen accidentally to keep my mind at ease, thank you for that officers. And to you Miss "I can't help you on that" find another job that you might be productive.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Belmont as it was right by the food festival in San Mateo which I visited prior to visiting San Francisco for Memorial Day. As with most budget hotels, you certainly get what you pay for - the rooms were obviously nothing remarkable, although I will say that the room I stayed in was very large and airy, and the bathroom was decent even though the door did not lock. The pool and hot tub were actually pretty decent, and it is in a very good location, right by Oracle and near Safeway. If you are looking for a quick, dirt cheap stay on the outskirts of SF/San Mateo and do not need a mini fridge or microwave then the Motel 6 should suffice. Just beware that you will get what you pay for.

I got the king room it was cool nice and big bed with plenty of space but the floors and counters were dirty as hell hair and dust everywhere but not a bad price I guess and the area is decent third time I stay here no drama.

But they need to clean those rooms right!

I only stayed here because i needed a hotel last minute since i was too tired to keep driving. It was a cheap price, and i was like "ok I'll try it out." MY MISTAKE. There are absolutely no outlets in these rooms. The only one was for the fridge. I had to charge my phone under the tv. There was the front desk lady the next day lying to me about there not being any more coffee. I was smoking outside with my party before leaving, and a delusional asian woman started scoping out my car. I see her just staring at my plates, and i ask her if there is a problem. I could tell she was trying to memorize my plates, but i had no idea why. Well, she starts yelling at us telling us that we were following her? 💀 i was like, "No way." She told us that she knew who we were and that "everyone here" knew who we were. We dont even live in the Bay Area 😂 she literally gets so furious that she starts stuttering, and i laughed so hard. It made her more angry, and she started bobbing her head back and forth like a pigeon with attitude. I gave her a piece of my mind and got in my car and left. What is up with you, San Fran? Every time I'm forced to stop by this city, someone always has an attitude. I will never understand you guys. You're permanently angry for absolutely no reason. It must be all the smog in the air.
