$54 per night which included the $10 junk fee to make the reservation and $5 pet fee. Sign at the entrance says that FHU is $40 per night but it's $11 more if you pay online, PLUS the junk fee. Power went out and were not offered any credit or refund. We've got plenty of battery power. Site had lots of sky for solar and satellite. There were about 30 goats wandering at the front entrance on our arrival. They apparently just wander the entire park, came through our site one day. Don't know who they belong to. Our site was dirty, fire ring filled with trash. Restrooms were dirty, decades of hard water deposits that no one ever cleans. Peeling paint, graffiti. Bathrooms and showers have no grates on the floor drains, exposed wiring where heater removed, work not to code. Only one shower had a handle on it. My wife would not use them they were so bad, she showered onboard. I tried the showers but they were disappointing. Took almost 10 minutes for water to get anywhere close to hot, which it never did. Out of 5 days, there was only one other camper here first night. Then Thursday six other RV's showed up. There are 25 RV sites, with FHU. Never more than 10 FHU campers in FHU. But there is also a tent area to the left of the entrance and there were several tent trailers, tent campers and a few RV's over there. Drinking and playing loud music. No hook-ups but you can get small trailers into some of the sites. Three dump stations, says $15 to dump but no way to pay. Just ieon ranger. No staff here. No camp host. There is an old 'administration' building (it's on Administration Road) but it is long since abandoned and looking in windows seems it is just used for storage. There are multiple paper signs on the windows. Maintenance here is severely lacking. And whatever maintenance is done is slip-shod, minimum budget, no-skill, and not to code. On google there were complaints about 3 years ago about break ins here. No evidence of that. But park is very unsafe, no police presence or enforcement rangers. Wondering if all the drain grates from the bathrooms were stolen for metal scrap. It's hard to navigate around the park. Like many parks there is a severe lack of signage. Any signs they do have are worn and hard to read, or overgrown with foliage, and/or falling down. At $54 per night I expected more. They give you a code on your email reservation, the gate gets locked around 4pm. It is not an auto-open, you have to manually enter the code onto the combination lock, open the gate, then close and lock it when done. There used to be tire spikes on the entrance but they have long since been removed and the trench just filled with dirt, which is now a big dip so go slow through the exit. Sewer hookups are a foot above the ground and hard to use. Water spigot in my site leaked whenever it was on.

Decent enough for enjoying with friends and family. Bathrooms need some love cosmetically and health wise need mold removed. Bugs and sand expected, but overall very good easy weekend. Equestrian friendly too which was cool! Lots of exploring available. Thank you SBCParks!

This is a nice campground away from the city. Not too much to do here but it is peaceful. It is the desert and at the base of the mountains, so it gets a bit windy at times.

There does not appear to be a campground host, nor anyone at the entrance. With that, I recommend doing reservations online prior to showing up to make sure you aren't taking someone's spot they may have reserved, especially since they don't post which sites are reserved. That would be my main complaint at this time. The County does drive through once in a while, but it is quick.

There are restrooms and showers here, but we did not use them this time. They were decent the last time we were here a few years ago.

The RV portion has full hookups and few trees. The spaces are well spread apart so you are not right on top of each other like many campgrounds are like.

The tent area has water and more trees and large Juniper bushes. Very nice area for tents.

The campground is amazing especially if you like out of the way campgrounds. Beautiful sunsets.

As for the rest I would like half my money back!!!! I paid $100 for 2 nights. The women’s restroom had 2 showers. One didn’t have a shower head and the other shower had a shower head but no water. I went to the men’s restroom to shower while my husband watched the door. The men’s restroom had 2 showers one didn’t have a shower head or handle. The other shower worked but was nasty and rusty. That is ridiculous to rip people off! I under stand it is off season so no maintenance is being done then charge off season prices! All I expected for a $100 is a warm shower in the WOMENS restroom!

I gave it 2 stars for the views and sunsets! Luckily I only made reservations for 2 nights. I will be looking for another campground and showers!

Extremely relaxed spot to get away! I do not like going out on the weekends, but took a good friend out for his birthday there on a Sunday, and was still one of the most peaceful days at a park I've ever had! Entering can be a bit confusing, just make sure to have 8 bucks cash on hand! I left a 10, but I made great use of it! You can wander around the north end and all the way to the dam! We found a creek and was just simply amazed by nature. Highly recommend this spot to get out of the grid!

I love this campground because it is usually not full, and it has lots of open space for hikes or bike rides, mature trees, hot showers, and flushing toilets. ?
(Make sure you get the gate code for after 4pm arrival).
Codes change on Sunday evenings, so if you leave Monday morning, you will need the new code. AT&T has best cellular reception.
The facilities are a bit run down, but they work ?
It has large group areas for group camping too.
The only drawback is that it can be very windy. The tent camping area is less windy than the RV area, but not good for camp fires. Seems to me that almost 4 out of 5 days are windy (of my 6 times camping here). In the summer the wind is nice because it cools us down, but with no wind the temps are higher.

Sad the park has not been taken care of, in years, weeds growing higher than the tables. All I can say is nasty. Will never stay here again, why do they charge a high price for something worse than a garbage dump. Do not believe the photos on their web site. They are fake or taken 50 years ago. Clean it up or shut it down, worse place I've stayed at.

I love this place. It's very spread out for an RV camp. Not something you see much of these days, everyone's cramped in where you can hear your neighbors snoring at night. Not this place.

Has many trails for you to take a walk on, pet friendly. They have a section for tents only. For the RV section they have 30 amp power with running water. Not sure if there's any sites with 50 amp power. Great place to take pictures of the sky at night all these pictures were taken on my phone.
