If you need help with food this is the place for you but if you need financial assistance with your bills then you are better off seeking other agencies for help. You literally have to pay majority of your bill and they will pay the last $50. You basically have to not need help to get help!

I love this place!! VERY helpful, understanding, and people that REALLY love what they are doing!!! Me and my fiance went through hardship and they encouraged, and HELPED with our NEEDS!!! CHRIS and the WHOLE Staff was a big help!!! We thankyou and love yall and will NEVER FORGET YOU ALL!!!!

This is a very good place, women’s on reception were really kind with me and I felt comfortable when they did the registration I got some really good quality food and really grateful for this you can come once a month and get groceries have your id, social security number for all members of your family and proof of residency

I went to an orientation which was required to get rental assistance. Afterwards you have to jump through hoops to schedule a consultation to get assistance. I tried for going on 2 and a half months. They tell you to check this calendar at 6:30am on certain days 3 days in advance of the you need to schedule. Every day was greyed out for going 2 months. I had to end up getting a title loan. Plus, they also required alot of paperwork and a sign off from the landlord for only $400 in assistance if you can get it. I've called and left a few messages, no returned call. And I live about 30 mins away from the facility. Didn't want to drive there again just to waste time, gas and money I already didn't have. Such a disappointment. And they were the only oned that half helped. I've tried contacting at least 10 other places and left voicemails. None of the places claiming to help with rental assistance really help or respond or they keep saying the demand is high and close the applications to apply. Meanwhile it closed for over 2 month. It's never open to apply. But they have a big DONATE sign on the website. Maybe they help only those they know. They claim to help people get back on track to where they don’t need help moving forward, but it was a contradiction because in the orientation there was a lady that the presenter said she had known for quite some time, years actually, that was attending the orientation for assistance. So good luck getting help. And kudos to the ones that actually got a consultation. They need to be investigated.

We did not grow up taking hand outs because both of us started working at 13. Our job was not to know what new government program you could get for free. In some cities it becomes a job if you don't want to be someone that trades sex to feed your family.

My grandmom was born on the boat from Germany in 1900... She had to trade sex for food for 9 children while married to an alcoholic... It is a reality that it still happens... In AA there is HALT... Don't get hungry, angry, lonely, or tired.... But know God's Got US. Social Welfare helps ... If your able bodied it also helps.

I hope I get a return email as there were 12 people in there and two w/ infants...

Thankfully, we called Duke, knowing others are asking for help too... and Duke understood the plight of the hurricane victims... And has cancelled the old payment plan and set up a new one. Thank You! We now won't be without electric!

He is disabled and missing organs due to pancreatic cancer and expecting another surgery... Thank You!!!!

You give us food and great people to work with each time I've been there... So thank you for what you do daily for the county... For the citizens ... For your family... It's our second hurricane. Thank you and God Bless To You and Your Families...

Yesterday was the 5th time I have gone to Metropolitan Ministries since 2018ish...

Your intake yesterday, as I talked to my fiance about it this morning resulted in shedding tears that are Good.

I don't know if I was asked those same questions in the other intakes, though. Thank You for helping those In Need... Those who live in the community and Need You.

We are a community... And I appreciate being able to come when in need... I also appreciate how you gathered facts about experiences... Because I keep being shocked at my reply of "No, She Divorced him when I was Three" and My Eldest Brother 14... Who you will read about...

I am also grateful I am able to Leave a review.
I leave honest reviews and update them.

In the retelling, I remember my brother who not only holds/held a record in the Guinness Book of World Records like others in my family... And worked for a fortune 10 desktop computer originator.... Who taught me you cannot Alt Undo in real life.

So, my brother is Also someone who successfully committed Suicide... And is my Guardian Angel.... He Said after the first institutionalization for 3 unsuccessful attempts, that They Diagnosed him As An Adult Child of An Alcoholic.

He was in a round room and a straight jacket.

My mom called him and I bookends... We both got beat in the Womb and Gods Got Us.

No true help here. Not with bills only food help. We had a 900 dollar electric bill they had us pay 459 and said they pay the rest but as soon as I paid they said we must come up with another 300 and totally ruined us... We got shut off. Thanks for NOTHING
