Mermaid Mansions Vacation Rentals - Navarre, Florida

This is our second time using Mermaid Mansions for our yearly beach excursion. Our family loved this house more than any house to date. The living area is open and beautiful, with amazing views of the gulf. The downstairs bedroom with a 'mini' library and private deck is quaint & comfy (would be even better with a king bed). Amazing kitchen, with room for several of us to prepare meals together, with plenty of seating for all. The boardwalk to the beach is now a must-have for us. None of the other houses (in previous years) have had one, so the trek to the beach was so much easier. Speaking of the beach...perfect conditions every day with the exception of one. The jelly fish were out in full force (to no fault of MM, obviously). We were far enough away from public beach accesses, that it was not crowded. Prior to check-in, we were notified of an issue with one of the HVAC units. Mermaid Mansions provided us with plenty of fans to keep the room cool (only one room, downstairs was affected). These things happen, not to mention it was the weekend leading up to a holiday week. Thanks for a great week with our family...we only get all our children together (at the same time) once or twice a year. We had a great time!

We rented at sugar beach meet owner of One of the units ! We got there unit this time and it a nice unit close to the pool our beds was comfortable my only complaint was we didn’t get to stay long enough !! Adulting sucks !! And there was lots of seaweed on the beach this time thank goodness for the big nice pool

One of the most well thought out vacation homes I've stayed out. Perfect location - close to the action but not too close. It's beautiful, well decorated, spotless, and they thought of everything. High end appliances, bedding, etc. The best thing is that they have everything you could need to take to the beach itself: chairs, tents, toys, boogie boards, wagons to pull them with... We needed nothing! There's an outside spigot to wash yourself and the items off with.

We didn't have an issue, but note that the living areas are upstairs. It's one flight to 2 of the bedrooms and another flight to the den/kitchen/3rd bedroom. Just a caveat if someone in your group can't do stairs.

All and all, just a most perfect place to stay!

We began looking for a vacation rental prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. Once we found the right house, the staff at MM was extremely professional and helpful. Once the outbreak occurred, they stayed in regular communication letting us know what the state and county ordinances were allowing. We were notified today that our vacation is still on! They have made 2 families with young children very happy. Thank you to Margaret, David and the rest of the staff at MM.

We have rented units at Sugar Beach thru Mermaid Mansions for the last three years.and have always been pleased with the units and always recommend them to family and friends. However, we were terribly disappointed this last week, We had booked Unit A12 for arrival on Sept, 26, and departure on Oct. 3rd , 2020 . We were concerned there may be damage from the hurricane the previous week so we attempted to call Mermaid Mansions to check on any damage. The phone was not working so we emailed Mermaid Mansions and they replied that the phone lines were down...and we could only communicate via email..
They advised the pool fencing had been damaged during the hurricane and would not be open during our visit. They also said cable and internet were slowly being worked on , but there were no guarantees cable and internet would be available upon our arrival , but, the unit itself had no damage.
Therefore we asked if we could apply the $1200 deposit to a later date in the near future ! We were told absolutely not ! Since the unit itself was habitual, we would lose our deposit as their cancellation policy would not allow it ! The owners of A12 were obviously adamant about enforcing the 60 day cancellation policy ! Being rental property owners ourselves, we would never obligate a renter under those conditions! I hope they understand the $1200 will no where come close to the loss of rental income in the future !! It is sad...Some folks are only in it for the money!!!

We stayed at Gigi's Beachouse Late July/early August 2017. Although the property was everything and more than we expected, we were more impressed with our dealings with Jackie Simms. We have rented up and down the Emerald Coast over the last 25 years. I have never dealt with anyone more accommodating than Jackie. From the time we made our first inquiry to the last day of our visit, she was a pleasure to deal with. Jackie has a passion for her business seldom seen in this day and age.

Our truck broke down the day we were to leave to fo back home. Jackie recommended a shop to take our truck to, gave us a lift so we could have lunch while waiting on our vehicle, and offered to help us any way she could. By the time we left for home we felt we had made a new friend in Navarre. We will be back and rent from Jackie again.

If you are thinking about a vacation in Navarre I would recommend you look at properties managed by Mermaid Mansions and give Jackie a call. You will be delighted with her attention to detail and her personal knowledge of the properties she manages.

Said beds were new, but the King bed was lumpy and we sank to the middle. Tried the Queen it was just as bad, decided to leave a day early because of our backs.
Lots of trash thrown on right side of townhome, been there for months, bottles, beer cans, plastic, food, tissue, etc. It could not have blown out of the recycle or trash bin, not that much, it sat there for months but never got picked up even though they charge a high cleaning fee. I was told they clean in between renters. Yes I could have called the management company to pick up the trash on side of the townhome, but they should have done this before we arrived. This did not happen overnight.
Kitchen table chairs cushions hard as a rock.Contacted management company but got excuses. Will use another company from now on.
