Melton Hill Bill is a “Next Level” guide! He took me out early and stayed late, we caught our own bait, and went out to find some stripers!

Within ten minutes we were already hooked up and landed this +20lber! After a few hours we went after some musky. Bill has next-level knowledge of all the predatory fish in these areas and has a very comfortable boat that could easily fit 6 adults.

After reading his reviews, it’s obvious I’m not the only one who enjoyed being taught exactly how he likes to get the job done. I came in with respect for him and his craft and I left with even more.

Just to clarify, you do not need to be an expert at fishing to fish with Bill, but I would recommend being open to suggestions and willing to take advice from one of the best fishing guides in East TN. He has been doing this for over 20 years.

I would go fishing with him anytime!

Bill was an excellent guide. Explained what we would be doing and what to expect. Weather was windy and rough water, but he didn't give up. We caught some nice striper later in the day. Had a fantastic experience. Showed us places to go the next day without him, and we caught fish. Highly recommend him.

My husband and I had the pleasure of going out on a morning trip with Billy and had an amazing time. He is very personable which made the trip even more enjoyable.

I had never been striper fishing before this trip. What I liked about Billy is that he is very knowledgeable in his field and put us on the fish. His methods, means, and equipment are a recipe for success. His goal was to ensure us catching fish and allowing us to catch them on our own. We definitely will be back next year. #stripergoals2021

Had an EXCELLENT experience with Bill last week. I was visiting some friends recently, and was interested in doing some different fishing than my local waters.
I did some research on Knoxville area guides, and with a little review of other guides sites, it became clear that Bill was an obvious choice.
Not only did his site offer information about the fishing, but offered excellent top notch gear (Shimano Tranx 400's), and definitely the best boat on the river.
He also explains that he is very knowledgeable about the whole ecosystem of the river, including flows and structure and conditions.
We had a great day, with all of our fish going over 20 pounds.
I may not make it back that way for some time, but my friend, who is not an 'everyday' fisherman who was so impressed that he is going to get his wife to book a trip with him.
Anyway, you cant go wrong with Bill and his operation, and was absolutely worth the money!

Took my son on a fishing trip with Bill. Son is in the navy and was on leave. Went first week of September. Started at Loudon Damn fishing for skipjack. My son has limited experience fishing. Bill helped set up his rod and stood beside him giving him details on what to do. While catching skipjack the stipers started boiling. He gave my son a bigger rod with a 10 inch jerk bait. Second cast son was hooked up. Landed his first of 3 stipers. Bill stood right beside him and coached him the entire time. After catching a 4 there we went to Melton Hill Damn where we used the skipjack to catch two more large stripers. Again Bill coached and gave us both awesome advice and put us on the fish. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. We both had an amazing time. I can't recommend him enough.

You know when you decide to find a fishing charter you can’t help but think are the good? Is the captain gonna be arrogant and if you catch fish you catch fish if not oh well! Well I am here to tell you Bill is next to none! I took my dad for his birthday and let me tell you it was AWESOME! We caught 9 fish before 11am with a total weight 220 pounds of striper! Talk about your moneys worth! If you are thinking about finding a striper charter give Bill a call! You will not be disappointed! Not only will you catch fish but you will learn about how and why he uses the techniques he uses and the importance of releasing the trophy’s for the next generations to catch as well! Great service and just all around great and stand up guy! Thanks Bill we can’t wait until our next trip in the spring!
