First time and we loved it. This is a family run American style restaurant. The cedar plank salmon was excellent. A unique, sweet, flavorful marinade. The the Alice's salad was fresh and delicious. The staff is super friendly. From the hostess, to the server Alex, to the manager who stopped at our table, everyone was delightful.
The decor and atmosphere is also lovely. Great value. Definitely will return.

This is THE BEST dining experience I have had in a long time. Food was EXCELLENT! Creative and delicious in every bite! Excellent service. The waitstaff is very attentive and makes an enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is a nice dining family experience. Chef Dean takes time to meet all the guests. We had a great experience at Mean Deans. We called ahead and asked for a quiet space for an autistic adult. They had the table ready early and seated us immediately.

The food was fantastic. Loved the shrimp and grits and the alligator soup was excellent.

Amazing cuisine and service is great! They offer craft cocktail and beer menu along with several wines to pair with your dinner.
I had the salmon tacos paired with a seasonal draft and my husband had the pot roast with vegetables and a delicious broth. Desserts are delicious as well! We had the apple crumble and tasted very fresh and homemade.
The staff was very nice and attentive!

Fun little diner. The peanut butter bacon burger was a must try given the uniqueness of it. It turned out to be pretty good. I think I little more peanut butter would make it even better. The house made chips were good too. Maybe a touch more seasoning, and they've got it.

Wow!! Mean Dean is a Cuisine Machine! We started with brussel sprouts that were crispy and seasoned to perfection. We had Bourbon Maple Short Rib Over Thai Style Peanut Pasta and Salmon Tacos. Very different dishes but both exceptional. I wish I had room for the dessert of the day - bananas foster bread pudding. Next time.

Mean Dean’s is a cozy, welcoming, delicious spot, and a perfect place for date night, with food that felt upscale, but an atmosphere that was comfortable and laid back.

My boyfriend and I started with drinks and the spinach dip, which we both loved! It was creamy, garlicky and delicious! He ordered the Osso Buco which was incredible, and I had the Shrimp and Grits. After living in the south for over 30 years, I can confidently say they were the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had.

The staff was friendly, positive, and attentive! I truly have nothing but good things to say about Mean Deans! I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!
