Awesome tour! It was only $5 and we were there a good 2 hours. The Museum Director/Tour Guide (Danny) had a lot of interesting stories about the house, the families who lived there, the furnishings and the overall history of Camden. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

One of my so many Great Uncles had this beautiful, delightful, and very educational museum.
I love going to historical buildings and places. I am very blessed that all of my grandparents, all of my uncles and aunts, my parents, and my older cousins encouraged me to learn. I am very blessed that my love for learning more about my ancestry, historical places, events, and people.

I moved from Camden 20 yrs ago and It has been years since I took a tour, I even showed up early because I can remember how hot is was due to no A/C, pleasantly surprised the home now has A/C. Tour wasn't rushed and the guide, Danny was awesome and patient. My 88 yr old mother went with us and he did everything possible to make her comfortable and easy access. Great experience! If it has been a minute since you had a tour, I highly recommend you check it out again!

This is one of the most unique historical sites we've ever visited. Rich in history, original historic furnishings, well maintained, excellent docent, great value. This is a "must see" if you are interested in local history in the 1800s.
