Working with Mavinhouse & Sarah for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made during the planning process. As a type A bride, I knew I needed someone who could match my level of organization, speed, and attention to detail. Sarah was amazing from the early days of selecting our vendors, to the tasting and walk through, to on site execution on our wedding day. Sarah has an amazing eye for design and truly made every detail stand out. Our guests are still talking about the amazing time they had in Newport and how beautifully orchestrated our wedding weekend was. We couldn’t have done it without Sarah and the Mavinhouse team. Truly the best!!

We woke up the morning after our wedding and could not stop repeating just how much fun we had all weekend long and a big part of that is due to Mavinhouse & Jeankarla!! 🤍

Over the course of wedding planning, Jeankarla became more than a planner, she became a friend and a sounding board for all of our wild wedding ideas. We cannot rave enough about her and Mavinhouse - they made planning a destination wedding at Shepherd's Run absolutely seamless! From JK’s day to day advice on items such as menu planning (scallops vs a fish entree) and making our dream green & white checkerboard dance floor a reality to full-on pulling off the PERFECT wedding in Beatrix’s garden at Shepherd’s Run - even in the rain, JK always knew exactly what was needed (even when we didn’t). Truly, Jeankarla made all the difference for handling the weather, making sure we had the wedding we wanted to (outdoors in the rain, versus the indoor backup rain plan) and honestly the rain made it even more beautiful.

We always looked forward to our monthly check-ins; JK kept us on track with our homework to book vendors and finalizing choices while providing guidance with multiple quotes for transportation options, additional room blocks when ours filled up and tipping recommendations. When meeting in person, Jeankarla coordinated and joined our vendor meetings providing her professional opinion without overshadowing ours and surprised us with a sample arrangement from our florist so we could see the whole picture of our table settings.

JK is incredibly organized and extremely experienced running events. She is well connected and has worked closely with nearly every vendor in the area - her knowledge of the inventory for EE Decor and Blackstone alone made it a breeze to bring my Pinterest vision board to life. At times, we struggled with the coordinator provided by Shepherd’s Run/Blackstone and JK was our saving grace - making sure to push for what we had planned and correcting as needed. On our wedding day, Jeankarla made it so easy for us by managing all of the coordination of vendors, setting up and breaking down which allowed us to fully enjoy the day.

I truly do not think we could have pulled together such an incredible wedding without Jeankarla and we are still so thankful for her & Mavinhouse for facilitating one of our favorite days that we will continue to cherish forever! 💗

The Mavinhouse team was incredible! We were lucky enough to work with Lindsey for almost a year in preparation for our wedding day and we couldn't be more thrilled with how everything came out. My husband and I can procrastinate a bit, Lindsey gave us our space but also kept us on track which we really needed and appreciated! There was consistent and clear communication throughout the process. She also made fantastic recommendations on local vendors. On the big day, not a ball was dropped, everything came to life exactly as we envisioned, even better perhaps. We had Sarah from Mavinhouse plan our Wedding in August of 2024. She was absolutely INCREDIBLE and paramount to the success of our day. We said many times throughout the process that we really don't think we would have made it to our big celebration without all her help.

After hiring Sarah we jumped right into planning, specifically with finding a venue. We would have never found our amazing venue (Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA) if it weren't for Sarah and this beautiful venue really made our night so special. Sarah was very upfront with the budget in regards the venue selection and she came on tours with us and asked all the important questions that we wouldn't have thought of.

Throughout the rest of the planning process, Sarah made everything feel calm and organized. There was no panic about what steps we needed to tackle next because she had it all perfectly laid out for us. When it came time for design planning, we simply created a mood board and let Sarah's talents take it from there. She did a phenomenal job of capturing the vibe we wanted in her renderings. She then found all of our design vendors that were needed and the process was made incredibly simple for us. We really just had to nod our heads along the way! She also helped us find other vendors like hair and makeup, DJ, and Bakery. Sarah's trust in the vendors and previous working experience were really helpful in working with vendors. They were experienced, friendly, and went above and beyond for our day.

When it came to the execution of the actual event, we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding without having to think about a single thing. Sarah had all the logistics figured out and handled all communications with the vendors and the venue. We really just attended our own wedding as guests, it truly made our night what it was and I have no clue what our wedding would have looked like without Sarah.

Aside from all of the planning, logistics, details, and budgeting, Sarah's bright personality was fun and easy to work with. She pumped excitement into us for our wedding but also consistently gave honest feedback about some of our ideas. Having Sarah as our planner was the best decision we made!

Where do we even begin?! We worked with Sarah Lema at Mavinhouse events to plan our August 2023 wedding at Wychmere Beach Club in Cape Cod. It was all we could ask for and more! From the beginning Sarah was completely on the same page as us with the design and overall goal that we had in mind for our big day. She is detail oriented, friendly, supportive, confident, calm, a visionary and has a great eye for design. During our nine months of planning with Sarah we truly felt so special and that she heard each and every request. We trusted her input and she did not disappoint! Liz was able to bring incredible attention to detail throughout our year of planning, bringing to life our vision and a day that was more amazing than we could have ever imagined. The entire way through the planning process Liz reduced anxiety and stress because we had the utmost trust she had everything covered. Liz gave us access to the best planning tools available and had connections to the best vendors, which made the process more enjoyable than it would have been if we’d not had Liz.

Sarah Crowell and the Mavinhouse Events team did an outstanding job planning our destination wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. Sarah expertly guided us from the very beginning of the process, and her creativity and fun-loving personality was one of my favorite things about working with her. She has incredible vision and eye for design, but she is also a great communicator and able to convey logistics and details in a way that is clear and not overwhelming. On top of it all, we had fun every step of the way and by the time the weekend had arrived, we felt like Sarah was an extension of our friends and family that were there to be a part of our special day. Planning a wedding in your childhood backyard can be a challenge but JK and Colleen made our of Pinterest dreams come to life.
