We embarked on a road trip from Rhode Island and arrived at a captivating venue. The two-hour drive was well worth it, as the place was both beautiful and fascinating. The venue boasts an abundance of beautiful butterflies and plants. Additionally, they offer a military discount, which made our visit even more special. We also purchased some puzzles and trinkets from the gift shop.

A Magical and Rejuvenating Experience!

We recently visited the Butterfly Conservatory and had an absolutely wonderful time! From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was peaceful and enchanting, with so many beautiful butterflies flying freely around us. Our son was mesmerized by the experience, and so were we! It truly felt like a refreshing escape, perfect for recharging our mental health. If you’re looking for a place to relax, connect with nature, and create unforgettable memories, this is definitely a must-visit!

Come here to explore a beautiful, winding garden brimming with life any time of year. There are so many varieties of butterflies, and adorable button quail running around freely, plus educational exhibits on colorful and camouflaged bugs, amphibians, and reptiles. You can even have your wedding here. The atmosphere is calm and restorative. They have a small cafeteria in the summertime with food and ice cream, and their gift shop where you enter the conservatory is fun as well. Make sure to check your coats before entering the warm greenhouse!

I definitely will be back to enjoy this beautiful place. Walk around the butterflies and the plants. What a great experience. I am so happy we went there. Big variety of butterflies and many kinds of bugs, fish, birds, flogs. The kids will love it seeing these creatures. I can’t wait to go back there.

Very long line, make sure to get their early 2-5 no parking will have to across street.
Many to 10000 different kids only captured a few but I’m amazingly lucky to have experienced this and the staff are all super friendly and informative. Their baby quails that run around along with tree 🐸, Madagascar hissing roaches, walking sticks and many more!! Amazing time for kids and adults of all kind.!!
I will be back to bring more family but this was 💯% worth it!!

Very lovely place to be! The environment is very nice, the staff is very kind✌🏼. The butterflies are beautiful 🤩! Also there is a very unique selection of frogs, possibly some reptiles if I remember correctly, stick bugs, etc. Awesome that they offer more than just butterflies and lots of information along the way. This place is very stimulating and comfortable for me personally and very educational. I have been twice and always find something new to learn about whether it’s about the butterflies, button quails, insects, etc! Hoping to visit again soon, this is a great escape from the new england cold weather during the colder months.

The price for what it is not to bad. There are definitely tons of butterflies which yea it’s really neat plus other critters and bugs to check out. Very cool place where the butterflies are it’s like a winter garden with lots of different plants and trees. I give it 3 stars only because honestly it’s a one time trip and it’s very crowded and does not take very long to see everything 2 times over. I brought my kids and wife we enjoyed it but for my 3 year old not the greatest but experience since you can’t touch anything or play around or anything but observe. Very hard for a 3 year old to not play and the place offers nothing for very young kids. Personally I’d rather go to an aquarium.

The reptile and bug room is fascinating, the most unique collection of HUGE bugs I've seen in my life. Then you enter the butterfly room a taste of the tropics in the dead of the northeast winter. Beautiful butterfly's freely fluttering about the jungle atmosphere, take a seat, and let them take a rest on you. Please follow the rules and don't touch them or the cute little hens scurrying about the floor. If you're a gardener, stop at the gift shop and get a mantis egg. Your yard will thank you in the summer when they hatch great natural pesticide.
