Maggie was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is incredibly organized, and her communication was great, which made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. We had our wedding at Crane Cottage on Jekyll island, and she was very familiar with the venue and the staff there, which also made planning that much easier! On wedding weekend, she made herself available for anything we needed - she even went out and grabbed snacks for me and my bridesmaids! She was overall a calming presence to have during the planning stage and wedding day. Couldn’t recommend Maggie enough!

Hiring MHE for both coordinating and florals was an early and easy decision! Maggie has so much experience in the wedding business. She is such a calm and confident presence leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of the wedding. We trusted her fully and we are so thankful we did!! Maggie was the ultimate professional during the whole wedding planning process. She doesn't get ruffled easily and handles any challenge that arises with grace. Her staff was equally impressive. There are simply not enough words to adequately describe Maggie of Maggie Hughes Events! She is worth her weight in gold.
About 6 months out from our wedding, we had a kick-off meeting to discuss planning, general timeline, and other various details before booking Maggie and her DJ husband, Blake at The Needle - talk about the package deal of a lifetime!
After selecting the “week-of” coordinating package, Maggie continued to check in with me well before the wedding date to ensure we were doing okay amidst the hustle and bustle of wedding planning. Around a month out from the date, we met again to nail down the timeline and discuss details, all the while Maggie made sure she captured everything we wanted for our special day.
In the days leading up to our wedding, Maggie coordinated with each vendor to confirm the timeline and made everything run seamlessly. I was confident that I could direct guests and vendors to her with any last-minute questions which helped ease a lot of stress!
When it came to the day before and the day of, Maggie was professional, graceful, kind, and flexible. She made us both feel at ease and we were both able to truly enjoy the day! Maggie went above and beyond in managing not just the wedding, but the human dynamics that come along with it. We had so many compliments from friends and family on the effortless flow of the event and all of the special touches along the way. I truly believe we could not have had the most exciting day of our lives run more smoothly and it’s all thanks to Maggie! I could not recommend her more to anyone planning a wedding or special event.

Maggie created the wedding of my dreams and I cannot recommend her enough. She turned what is normally a very stressful time of wedding planning into such a fun experience. She brought my Pinterest board to life and made sure every detail no matter how small was perfect on my big day. My friends and family cannot stop talking about how it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! We hired Maggie to help plan my daughter’s destination wedding on Saint Simons Island. She met with us twice and then represented us for the month of the wedding. She helped us streamline the day with a very detailed timeline. Everything went very smooth all day. The wedding reception was fantastic and I was able to really enjoy myself and not worry about the details. My daughter and her groom Jack had a very special day. Maggie played such an integral role in our wedding day (and the months/weeks leading up). From the moment we hired her, she was beyond responsive, flexible, and full of awesome recommendations on ways to ensure our day went off without a hitch. She was proactive about communicating with all our other vendors and so in tune with our vision. We met for breakfast during the planning stage, had a walkthrough the week of and were in contact throughout the whole process. There were a lot of unknown factors at play as our day approached - weather / COVID restrictions / etc. and Maggie helped ease our minds and reassure us around every corner!

As if we weren't already so happy we hired her - Maggie proved her worth tenfold on our actual wedding day. Start to finish, Maggie was like super woman. She had drinks and food waiting for us the second we finished the ceremony. She was readily available throughout the evening anytime I needed ANYTHING. She helped move the evening along in a way that felt seamless. Any minor issue that came up never made it to my ears because Maggie handled it.

At the end of the evening, she made sure everything was where it needed to be according to the venue rules / helped load any extra decor to be brought home. The next morning I didn't even realize it was all already in the back of my car!

I recommend Maggie to anyone/everyone I know because she goes above and beyond for her clients and makes you feel like more of a trusted friend than a client. THANK YOU MAGGIE for everything you did for us. We are forever grateful!!! <3

100% satisfied with Maggie Hughes Events. Professional, knowledgeable, and understanding. Maggie was able to create my vision without hesitation. Accepting photos from my vision boards/ideas, she was able to create our small, simple, but very intimate ceremony. From all of the labor and my last minute ideas she kept me calm with her sweet personality, knowing she had it all under control. HIGHLY Recommend!
