My husband had a knee replacement July 2024. The physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing staff were so exceptional and experienced that he chose to return last week to recover from his second knee replacement. The professional care that he received accelerated his recovery so he was able to return home and is capable of handling all of his daily needs. Patients are treated like family because the entire staff is very welcoming, caring and engaged. He was also very impressed as he witnessed the nursing home patients were treated with dignity, patience and love. We have strongly recommended Lydia Taft to our family and friends and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

If you are CNA working with the Agencies, please DO NOT pick up shifts here, thank me later.

If you want to be on any Agency’s DNR, ignore my review. Good residents, good nurses, the worst management

My 88 year old Mom just recently had a rehab stay for approximately 4 weeks. We can't say enough positive things about Lydia Taft House. They were kind, caring and top knotch rehab. They treated her the way you would want your loved one to be treated. We 100% recommend this place.

My Dad was recently discharged from Lydia Taft and we could not have been more pleased with the care! It was a very difficult time to have a loved one in a nursing home and we were so worried. We were unable to visit him in the traditional way so we stood outside his window. Everyone that works there smiles and is so helpful. From the nursing director Pam, the administrator Tony to everyone else. The housekeeper and laundry lady always said hello to my Dad. The medical care he received and the excellent rehab by Tracy's team really paid off. It was hard work for my Dad but they cheered him on and because of that he was able to come home. I have worked in many nursing homes in the area and know a good one when I see it. It's clean and cheery. And the staff is happy. I would highly recommend Lydia Taft to everyone I know!!

My husband recently stayed at Lydia Taft. He had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and very willing to help. They made sure he was comfortable and always got what he wanted. They went out of their way to make him comfortable. They gave him whatever he wanted to eat. Tony and the staff are great.

My Mom has been at Lydia Taft for just over a month now in the rehabilitation section after a lengthy hospital stay. She suffers from Heart and Kidney failure and was extremely week when she arrived. There are so many wonderful things to say about this place so I will break them down as best as I can.
Staff - Every single staff member that we have encountered including PT, OT, Nurses, CNA's, etc have been outstanding. They continually display compassion, patience & respect with my Mom day in and day out.
Facility - Clean, comfortable, & lots of homey touches. Great areas to just go and sit when you want a change of scenery.
Food - Quite good and lots of options!
Medical Care - very proactive with all of her health challenges.
We have been very please with the overall care that she has received!!!!

Lydia Taft nursing staff killed my father. Run as far from this place as you can. Horrible workers. If you care for your loved ones don't put them here even if just for a couple of weeks. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I've been through. They were reported to the state. And if their social worker calls you hang up!! She's a full blown liar!!

I've had 4 major hip operations. After the first , I chose to go to Lydia Taft. The post surgery care was outstanding; they were attentive, compassionate and very caring. The rehabilitation and necessary physical and occupational therapies went well and I was very happy with the results. My outpatient therapy results were so outstanding that when I needed another, I went back and was treated as well as the first; every precaution was adhered to and was a priority. Months later after an unforeseen complication, I decided to go back to recover from that surgery and the subsequent one thereafter. Small things like good house keeping and smiles from the staff made all the difference. I would recommend this facility to my closest of family and anyone who asked my opinion. Very, very pleased.
