As someone who has planned a lot of parties myself, I knew when I was over my head and needed professional help. I hired Lucky Heart to plan a milestone birthday celebration for my husband. I was blown away by my experience, from start to finish. Working with Mindy Home could not have been easier or more enjoyable. I explained what I envisioned, and Mindy came back with three really creative and fun concepts for a great party. They were all so good it was hard to choose. She worked to secure the venue I wanted and deftly negotiated with vendors to personalize my event. Mindy stayed close to the details every step of the way and advised on where to spend money and where it made sense to save. I could not have done it myself. The day of the event, Mindy was organized and prepared for surprises. Her extensive experience helps avoid problems she’s seen many times over. During the event she stayed focused on the enjoyment of our guests and anticipated needs. She adjusted the timing of food, speeches etc. based on the rhythm of the party, so everything felt relaxed and natural. But one of the lasting impressions I have is how she magically had the party wrapped up, vendors and waitstaff paid out and presents and other personal items in bags and ready to be carried to our car. All I had to do is get my tipsy and happy husband home. For those of you thinking it’s not worth it to spend money on a planner (I use to be one of them!) I can assure you Lucky Heart is worth every penny.

She was extremely organized in every aspect, asked questions I would have never thought of and just put together our special day from the ground up. We hired Lucky Heart to coordinate our 2020 wedding. Our wedding had to be postponed from June 2020 to August 2020 due to COVID and Mindy of Lucky Heart was such an integral part of making our day happen! She supported us as we rolled with all of the punches and helped us and our venue figure out how to navigate an all outdoor, COVID conscious wedding.

Mindy is incredibly creative and organized and it was so nice to have her calm and confident presence to make sure the months before and day of our wedding go smoothly. I retained Mindy Home of Lucky Heart to help me plan an important event for my spouse. (60th birthday: 30+ guests, special rented venue, good food and better wine, etc.) Mindy helped me organize all aspects of the event, working very efficiently with the event location, the caterer, the florist, the equipment rental company, and everyone else involved in the event. Throughout the process she was a superb listener—my spouse has very distinctive taste and we needed food, decor, etc. that landed in just the right place between welcoming and informal and special occasion, and throughout the process Mindy heard what we needed and made recommendations that were spot on. The event was originally scheduled for May of 2020, and got postponed twice (COVID) finally landing in November of 2021, and she stuck with us through the entire process, staying on time and on budget even as the schedule and budget itself kept shifting. Finally, on the day of the event she managed things on site and I actually managed to put down the fretting and enjoy the evening. We’ve received compliments from all the guests and I look forward to working with Mindy again in the future.
