Great fun every time we go. The water has a few soft rapids good for beginners, and going when it hasn't rained for a while will keep you moving pretty steady down stream. Be prepared to paddle a fair amount if there water is high.

The water was great, the scenery was amazing, the boats were adequate-no skirts (rentals from Bear Creek Canoe Run). You really need skirts for this run if you use a sit in kayak.

Awesome site to kayak. Upper falls can be navigated, but the lower falls cannot. The while creek is very scenic, though.

Best natural feature in the county. Can be dangerous due to rapid moving water. Great views, not exactly open to public, you must be floating the waterway to legally be on the banks of the creek. Walking across property to access is prohibited. So, if you want to see this remarkable location, float via canoe or kayak down the Bear Creek waterway.

Omgosh this was an experience! This trip was my first time in a kayak. There were thrills there were bumps there are definitely some bruises and a couple of broken fingernails. There is a level 2 whitewater falls area that is pretty intimidating for a newb I fell out I swear I hit every rock twice coming down this was entirely my fault I didn't get to the correct spot in the falls. There were children going down in innertubes and in life jackets without a kayak having a grand ol' time. Despite my bad judgment call, I had a wonderful time the scenery is gorgeous and the factory falls is a sight to behold. There was a slight hiccup after the falls where a tree was down across the entire creek. Some of us went to the right which is what we were supposed to do, some of us yours truly being one of those, went the wrong way. That in its self was adventurous to say the very least. I would reccomend anyone familiar with reading the river and kayaking take this tour down bear creek. Simply said, it is so beautiful.

In all honesty, my rating would be a 5 if not for such a long flatwater paddle. I primarily paddle whitewater, and this is the closest thing to whitewater in the off season. It has a few play spots on the run. While I would not suggest running Factory Falls to anyone, you can run the rapid after the falls. Nice scenery. You can run the falls on the upper run. I always have a good time.
