I’ve been a loyal supporter of Lowcountry Fresh since it opened and truly believe in its mission to support local farmers and offer fresh, quality food. When they get it right, it’s some of the best around. However, I’ve noticed a few recurring issues that I hope can be addressed to help this business thrive.

Customer service has been inconsistent. On many visits, staff seem disengaged or unhappy, and the main register is often left unattended—sometimes with no one available to help, especially toward closing time. It’s also been disappointing to see how often staff turnover happens, just as I start recognizing familiar faces.

Food portions are hit or miss. Sandwiches are well done, but salads tend to be mostly lettuce with very minimal toppings, even when extras like chicken are added. For the price, it doesn’t feel like a great value.

Lastly, I’ve felt uneasy about being asked to give my credit card number over the phone for small to-go orders. After one such time, I experienced a fraud attempt on my card (though I can’t say for certain it was related, it was enough to make me uncomfortable).

I really want to continue supporting LCF and hope to see improvements in service, food consistency, and ordering processes. There’s so much potential here—and I’m rooting for them.

Quick service. Nice atmosphere. We were able to meet for a business brunch and talk with ease on the porch. The place was clean and comfortable. The ingredients were locally sourced. The staff was kind and responsive. It felt like a nice and healthy alternative for a morning meet up. I would come back again.

The food was delicious when it came out but we had to wait almost an hour for our breakfast to be served for 3 people. That was a little insane and shouldn’t have to wait that long. We were ready to walk out after being told food takes longer because it’s being made from scratch. Scratch still doesn’t take THAT long for an efficient kitchen. We were given a not so fresh cup of fruit as an apology.

This place is my go to for delicious food and great coffee. Its a wonderful local coffee shop. Skip Starbucks and come to this adorable screened in porch to work or meet a friend. They also have cute gifts from Local artists and a variety of wonderful groceries from local growers.

We had a great experience there celebrating an early birthday brunch! Food was delicious, the staff were so welcoming and accommodating and the outside patio was great! We were a group of 9 and the food came out fresh and our coffees cups were always filled! Can’t thank Chef Jared and his staff enough!

We had a day-after wedding reception brunch on the covered patio. It was very casual and there were about 35 people. The food and the service attention from the staff was fabulous. We had scrambled eggs that must have been local because they were so delicious. We had home made sausage and bacon, fresh fruit salad, croissants and bagels, and blueberry scones. There was coffee and tea and fresh squeezed OJ for juice and for mimosas. Thank you Cindy and team. It was a great brunch and the rain didn't even put a damper on it! 👏👏👏

Expensive!! Good selection of healthier products. Very upscale feeling, but then the samples of meat were out and no one knew how long ("probably over an hour"). Ordered a sandwich and they had to find someone to make it. Just odd. But might just have been an off day.

I had the best turkey sandwich at the cafe that I have ever had. The focaccia it was served on was heavenly and the turkey reminded me of the best part of having leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I was traveling with my golden retriever and was happy to find that she was welcomed to eat with me on the cute screened in porch attached to the main building. All in all, it was a delightful dining experience and one that I will be sure to repeat the next time I am in Bluffton.
