We booked the Cedar Crest yurt for two nights with our three nephews and niece (all 8-9 years old ?) and it was exactly what we were looking for. The kids are at an in-between age where they’re too big to pile in a tent all together but too young to sleep in a tent alone. We wanted to camp but didn’t want to deal with a huge tent. The yurt was perfect. The inside is so well appointed and organized. It was also very comfortable. Outside of the yurt there was plenty of space for the kids to run around and expend their energy. The bathhouse was equally clean. Thank you to everyone at Lost Valley for a great time in a beautiful part of Arkansas.

We rented four canoes and arranged for shuttles to our take out point. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. I really appreciated the help with determining the takeout point for our four day trip. Aaron was very helpful in suggesting where to camp each night to evenly divide the daily paddling. We have paddled this river annually for many years and used various outfitters but Lost Valley is by far the best outfitter on the upper Buffalo.

This outfitter is absolutely wonderful! Wholesome people that run it and have always had a good experience. Last weekend, I went with some friends and accidentally brought two paddles from home that wouldn't click together. Aaron saved the day by letting me borrow two of their paddles free of charge, even though we only rented a shuttle from them that day. Much appreciation Aaron, we had a great day out on the river thanks to you my man! I definitely recommend this team!

I used the general store during Memorial Day weekend for frozen turkey meat. We purchased the only two packages in the store. When we opened the meat we immediately noticed it smelled rotten. We then noticed an expiration date of April 2024. I took the meat back hoping for a refund. Unfortunately when I approached the ladies at the store they became very defensive and told me that it doesn’t smell bad and that even though the meat had an expiration date of April that it has been frozen so it’s not bad. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the absence of friendly faces that I had experienced during my first experience there when purchasing the meat. I was able to get a refund for the unopened package but it was after a very long rant of how the meat is not bad and how I don’t know what meat smells like. This is very unfortunate because this store was conveniently near our cabin and Id love to shop local, but in the future, I will just drive the extra ten minutes to the Dollar General or Harps that are just down the road.

My son and I had a wonderful experience with this business. For the total solar eclipse, we rented a tandem kayak and used their shuttle service for a trip from Steel Creek to Kyle's Landing. Their entire staff was friendly and helpful. Surprisingly, we mostly had the river to ourselves. Due to our flight later that evening, we didn't get to enjoy the area as much as we'd like, so we'll have to come back. Enjoying the eclipse with our kayak on the shore of the river was an unforgettable experience! We would easily do business with Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging again.

Just visited lost valley canoe and lodging again after about 5 years, ive been there a handful of times before while exploring the area and the amazing hiking spots nearby. The property is beautiful, always a pleasant stay! The staff are all great folks and take pride in their work. 5 stars every time for me. The bunkhouse brings me straight back to my youth. Always an amazing experience.

We come here every summer, we are locals, but it’s such a breath of fresh air. The people here are friendly and keep a clean facility. The swimming hole is just a couple minutes south, and there are plenty of goodies in the general store.

I have used them and BOC. They are both great to be honest. Both provide quailty boats and shuttle services. Both have great staff and both are super easy to get to. But the people at Lost Valley Canoe take a more personal interest amd give you so much more information about the river (im talking the small details) i have floated this river for the past 15 years and started using them exclusively a few years ago everytime we come for anything. You cant go wrong with either company but here they treat you like family (the good kind of family that you actually want to be around except crazy uncle ted). They also give you a discount for being a repeat customer as long as you bring the key chain tag back the next time. O and this one is a big one. They are very accomdating on changing vehicle drop locations. There have been times where we went further than planned or shorter and as long as it was a responsible notice they accomdated o
