This message is to Margorie (our server) and Management: I cannot thank you enough for a fantastic and memorable night on 04/05/2025. We had my Mom's 80th birthday party in The Longfellow Parlor Room. There were 11 of us. What a beautiful room! Decorated so beautifully but not crowded w/ furniture so we were able to mingle around during drinks before dinner. Margorie, our server was so sweet. She had a big smile each time she walked in the room and didn't rush us through dinner. She is a gem and I hope Management knows what a special lady she is. Our food was fantastic, tasty and fresh. Everyone had whatever they wanted on the menu such as scallops, salads, onion soup, pot pie, shrimp, chicken and beef. The portions were plenty and the sides very New England. Some of our guests hadn't been there before and was so thrilled to have this new experience. This was such a memorable evening and it couldn't have gone any smoother if it wasn't for Margorie and The Wayside Inn! Thank you!

Went to this wonderful place for lunch. I haven't been there for 50 years. Just missed lunch but we were directed to the pub by the sweetest person at the front desk. My friend and I were met by Chris the bartender and server. Chris made our experience unbelievable. We sat by the fireplace and ate delicious appetizers and had a beer or three for more than 3 hours. Chris was so accommodating and the nicest guy. He packed up our leftovers and was so kind. Honestly this was a perfect moment in time. As we get old, things mean so much more. The Wayside Inn is amazing, but a staff like Chris made it a heartfelt memory. ♥️

I believe I’ve already reviewed this spot, but after such a great meal and experience, I had to leave another! Once again, it felt like stepping back in time—beautiful ambiance, plenty of character, and excellent food and drinks. Our server tonight, Matt, was top-notch. Despite a busy night, he had a warm and personable attitude, making us feel truly welcome. He also shared a fascinating history of the inn, which made me eager to return again soon.

For 5 or 6 years we are coming every year twice, on 18th of March to celebrate our wedding anniversary and on the 20th of October to celebrate my husband's birthday. Yesterday was our 14th wedding anniversary and we looked forward to meet Marina again, the German waitress, but it was her day off.|For weeks and weeks I was looking forward to the delicious mousse au chocolat dessert which I always ordered. But our young waitress had to tell us that there is no more mousse au chocolat on their dessert menu.|The Longfellow Wayside Inn was the only restaurant in the greater Worcester area which had mousse au chocolat. I was very disappointed and hope you'll offer mousse au chocolat aka chocolate mousse again in the future.

We look forward to visiting Longfellow Inn from out of state at least once a year. The food is delicious. The Inn is historic and charming. Staff is friendly and welcoming. One time we visited there happened to be a colonial reenactment that day. So we could sit in the tavern and enjoy our meal with guests in colonial garb.

Don’t be fooled by food pix. The cuisine is the worst. Diner food is better. Thrown on plate with barely a spoonful of sides, all cold and unappealing and tasting like we just got robbed! So extremely disappointing; especially when you bring folks who had never been to share this historic site. And, then ordered full meals …dishes that were cold, tasteless(unless you love salt) and unappetizing. The only other rip-off are their prices which add insult to injury. Final words: don’t bother!!!

We went to celebrate my friends birthday. It is a very charming Inn decorated at Christmas by local Garden Clubs. However, the food was terrible. We had the chicken pot pie and it was inedible …. I don’t know how a restaurant could serve something like that. We won’t be going back.

My husband and I went here today to both celebrate his mental health and our anniversary, we missed the chance last year due to my grandfather's medical issues and the passing of both my grandmother and my husband's grandmother (Mine: 12/18/2024; His 1/13/2025).

Longfellow's is a time-capsule in the future of chaos; life feels like it slows down when your here, and although we haven't rented a room as of yet; We can tell you that the lunches are very delicious as they look like they have been made from scratch; the coffee was one of the best coffee's I have had as it definitely appeared as if it was brewed on a fireplace and had a smoky wooden taste that brings you back to the 1700s.

Prices were very fair for the experience and the excellent service that you get from the waitstaff; Susan is a very dear and courteous front desk staff member, and while I don't personally have the names of everyone we encountered, my husband and I felt warm and welcomed and they even provided us a cupcake in celebration of our anniversary. $100 for 2 people is certainly a steal when you think of what you truly get out of your time here.

As was explained to me $220 gives you overnight stay with breakfast for (2 people) not many places give you a place where the halls are echoing with the memories and ours was just one of the many. We plan on coming here more often and perhaps rene our vows when the money, time and country gets back to a feasible opportunity. I would highly recommend the Boston Baked Shrod and the Crunchy Brussel Sprouts (the portion is large enough to share with your special someone) were truly a delectable choice and take it from my husband the Yankee Pot Roast was the best he had in the entire state.

Remember: All proceeds from the meals and time there go towards preserving this piece of history.
