When we planned our wedding, we knew that picking a planner would be among the most important decisions we made. While my wife and I are both from the Franklin area, we now live in New England and therefore had to plan our wedding long distance. Simply put, no one could have done for our wedding what Megan did.

Megan was the last of several qualified and experienced wedding planners that we spoke with in the process of picking our planner. The first thing that stood out to us was her honesty; she didn't try to sugarcoat anything in an attempt to convince us to hire her, and she did it in a way that was polite and easy. The second thing we noticed was that she was incredibly kind and easy to talk to. And finally, it was clear how incredibly organized she was. We knew only a few minutes into our conversation that we had our planner.

All of those qualities we noticed during our call-- and so many more -- were present over the next year of long-distance planning. She was easy to reach by email or phone, she nearly always had answers to our questions (and the few times she didn't, she quickly found the answers), she was always ready with recommendations, and she always kept our vision in focus. Her preparation was also world-class: in the year leading up to the wedding she asked questions so that she had a thorough understanding of our vision for our wedding, and in the months leading up to the date she took charge and handled everything seamlessly. Due to her thorough preparation our wedding didn't have any "crises," but when minor snags came up she handled them flawlessly. When (less than a week before our wedding) our plan for our gluten free guests fell through, she had a solution prepared (which, like everything else she did, worked perfectly); when items went missing during our reception, she found or replaced them; and when one of our vendors was running late she made sure everything still got done with plenty of time to spare. Simply put, she made the day easy to enjoy because we knew that she would handle everything. And she did.

That's without even mentioning how beautifully she set up our space, that when a deal with a decorative vendor fell through she took the time to personally drive out of her way to negotiate and pick up the decorations so we could have it, that she helped adjust our seating when certain guests last second couldn't come and others unexpectedly showed up, that she was able to fit in a quick rehearsal with our wedding party during the day because we weren't able to do one the night before, or the countless other things she did that will forever make us grateful that we picked her.

It's our understanding that, as of this writing, Megan is not planning on doing any additional weddings, at least in the near future. Still, it would be a disservice to the incredible job she did to not leave her a review in case she decides to do other events, or some day picks back up wedding planning. As far as we're concerned we had a perfect wedding day, and we know that it wouldn't have been the same without Megan.
