VERY impressed! Spent a Saturday touring Rockridge with my family and there was something (and more) for all of us! It was a bit rainy, but the tour is great during all types of weather. Lauren, her staff and the local vendors are very passionate, knowledgeable and proud of their neighborhood. Not to mention, the food is delicious!!! I can't wait to try the other tours!

We attended Lauren's Virtual Ice Cream Social last week. My family (we have 8 year old twins) had a great time! We learned fun historical facts about ice cream and then got to make our own Rocky Road ice cream. The homemade marshmallows in the kit were especially tasty! This would be great for a birthday party, work happy hour/team building, or "quaranteam" event.

My partner and I are from the UK and we thoroughly enjoyed the Rockridge Neighbourhood Heritage Food Tour on 29 April 2018. There was a variety of food places on the tour which were interesting - beautiful bread in the bakery, amazing sausages in butcher all the way to the yummy ice cream in the old fashioned parlour. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the walking was not onerous. Highlights for me were visiting a smart restaurant A16 for fresh pizza and the fresh chicken taco (Mexican food is not as ubiquitous in London as it is in CA)! Rockridge is very proud of its foodie status and we can see why. We would highly recommend this tour.

Our family did a zoom ice cream party. Our hostess, Lauren, made us feel very welcome. We shared our favorite flavors, and had a fun ice cream trivia contest. Then we all ate our rocky road ice cream, and voted on who had the best flavor combination(s). It was a really great social distanced fun event, and I'd love to take one of the live tours when the pandemic is over. Lauren really made it fun for everyone.

We celebrated the end of the year with a holiday ice cream social through Local Food Adventures -- Lauren was an awesome host, and helped make the virtual experience for our large group seamless. She was super responsive and a great communicator through the planning process, and was a lively and experienced host through the actual event. The group loved learning interesting and unique facts about the history of ice cream while snacking on the sweet treat itself. Overall we had an amazing time with LFA, and it was the perfect way to virtually connect with each other and end the year -- would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

We organized our virtual, team holiday party (Ice Cream Social) with Lauren. She was a pleasure to work with from the first communication with her to after event communication. The event itself was very fun as well. Strongly recommend!

My husband and I booked a food tour with Local Food Adventures on our trip to San Francisco this last weekend! We were pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was to take the ferry to Oakland, hang out and eat great food all while Lauren gave us great info about the history of the area! Lauren has many different tours and we will be back to experience one of them someday in the near future! You won't be disappointed!

Five stars! Local Food Adventures hosted a pizza and ice cream party, usually for kids, for my husband and my birthdays a couple weeks ago. Since reaching out to Lauren to inquire whether she would be willing to accommodate an adult version of the party (to which she ecstatically agreed!), she's been an absolute breeze to work with! From planning/coordinating the logistics to executing on the the event, Lauren was on point. When she heard we wanted to do a Disney themed party, she went above and beyond and got us mylar Mickey & Minnie balloons as decorations. Better yet, Lauren showed up in 20+-year-old Mickey ears to join in on the festivities, which made the event all the more fun!

When there was a hiccup in dietary requirements during the ice cream part of the tour, she was able to quickly correct it and make sure everyone got to enjoy sweet treats.

I also loved hearing about how Lauren started Local Food Adventures as an experiment -- an experiment that has blossomed into a successful business. It's really evident that she is equally passionate about food and making sure customers feel the same. Furthermore, to demonstrate her appreciation, we got a thank you card from Lauren in the mail today with a small packet of Oaktown spices. Small details/touches like these truly elevate customer experience to another level.

We had such a wonderful experience with Lauren that we immediately signed up for 2 more food tours taking place in the next couple of months. Can't wait to "food out" with Lauren and her team again!
