One of my favorite places to visit while in town! Went around 1pm and it seemed like the perfect time, all the animals were active! Love that you can take your time driving through! Got to see the rhinos playing with each other which was a first!

Definitely take the time to drive through twice! It’s worth it!

We had such an amazing time on our safari adventure! Our family absolutely loved it—driving through the park was a total blast! The kids were so excited that they begged to go around again right after finishing the first trip. We all had a great time at the animal shows, too! It was a delightful surprise to find out that all the rides were included in the entrance fee. Although the weather was a bit cool, so we skipped the water play, it looked like so much fun! We decided to drive through at 4:30, and honestly, that drive was even better than the one we took at 10 am. The animals were super active, and we even got to see the rhinos being herded in for the night. We can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Florida!

Great place. The first part is a drive through and they were feeding the animals as we drove through. Some were crossing the road. You have to keep your windows up FYI. There is a whole nother part of the park that has great landscaped scenery to walk through. They also have a theater with shows, picnic area, gift shop, free peddle boarding etc. We spend a half a day here.

My kids had a great time! We were a party of over 10 so we got the park and Safari for $31 each, plus tax. It was a bit chilly and very cloudy so the park was empty and my kids even enjoyed the splash pad and water slide for a short while , until they got too cold. The park was great with interesting animals, birds and a few small rides. We especially enjoyed seeing the giraffe up close as well as the paddle boating . We did the safari at the end and enjoyed that as well. I just took off one star because the Safari on its own for $31 is overpriced in my opinion. It would have just taken us around an hour and would not have been worth that expense for the 7 people that we had in the car. As part of a ā€œpackageā€ with the park for $31 it is great, but I would recommend spending and doing the whole thing (park and Safari) or organizing a group for a discount. We had been considering doing just the Safari, glad we were able to have a group and get the package deal for the same price.

Here’s a glowing review you can use:

Absolutely AMAZING experience at Lion Country Safari!

This place has everything in one spot, making it the perfect day trip for families! The drive-through safari is a 10-star experience—seeing the animals up close in such a natural setting was incredible! We went on a Tuesday and practically had the whole place to ourselves, which made it even better.

The bird encounter was magical—they fly right up to you and are so sweet. The water park is fantastic, with three different areas for all ages, including big slides, a splash pad, and a water playground. Everything was super clean, and the employees were beyond helpful and kind—they really made our visit special.

We also loved the included amusement rides, which were perfect for little ones, and the adorable 10-minute pontoon boat ride, where we got up close to monkeys and birds. The park is well-designed with misters throughout to keep you cool, and the food options were decent. Plus, the petting zoo, fish and bird feeders, and even included paddle boats made the experience even more fun!

The bathrooms were super clean, the park was easy to walk around (not too big or overwhelming), and there were tons of beautiful photo ops with lush vegetation, waterfalls, and scenic backdrops. The iced coffee was great, and we loved the Dole Whip—although it was a little on the sweet side.

Best part? Free parking! No issues bringing in our own food and drinks, but we also ate there to support the park and the animals. If we lived in the area, we’d definitely get an annual pass just for the water fun alone! Highly recommend visiting—this place is truly a hidden gem!

It’s a cool day trip. The drive through the safari portion is pretty long- make sure everyone hits the restroom before and you can enjoy it. Some of the animals come right up to the car- kids love it. The zoo portion is cool too- feed the giraffes and petting zoo was a hit. Splash pad is big so bring a bathing suit or change of clothes.

Lion Country Safari was an amazing time. We got discounts for staying at the Koa campground next door. There was so much to see and do there. They have a splash pad also and water slides for the kids. The staff there were informative, nice, and funny. We also did the pontoon boat ride and saw some other monkeys. The have the largest zebra population in the country and the roam everywhere. The giraffe feeding area was packed and fun. I'm glad this was my first time going its my Fiancee second but she hasn't been since she was a child. My mom and her husband enjoyed it to. The drive thru part takes about an hour which was great because you can sit and relax and watch the animals move around without having to be rushed. If you want a longer look pull over to the side so people can go around. The food at the restaurant was very good. They had a decent selection. Also, in the campground, you can hear the lions roar and monkeys talking in the zoo.

First time going and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Best time to go is early in the morning if you aren’t a fan of kids. My only critique would be I wish I could have seen the lions up close. Unless they are by a fence it’s tough to see them. But, I understand why the way it is for safety purposes.

I also bought a sweet toy monkey in the gift shop.
