I was in the area for work and asked for a good place to eat. Lighthouse was recommended. Walked in and was immediately greeted with one of the best atmospheres I've ever witnessed. The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly, like we all knew each other. Great food, I ordered the crab grilled crab claws and grilled shrimp with slaw and green beans. Did not disappoint at all. I highly recommend.

We stopped here as a suggestion from a local. The atmosphere was great, a real mom-and-pop place. It feels very homey. The service was great! We got the onion rings and gumbo as an appetizer! The onion rings were HUGE and hand-battered. Gumbo was amazing! Our table got the pick 3 seafood platter, cheeseburger, roast beef, and chicken tenders. All the seafood on the platter was deep-fried. The cheeseburger was good, and my mom enjoyed the crinkle-cut fries. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the hot roast beef, but no mashed potatoes. I had the chicken tenders and they were very good! I got corn nuggets and mac and cheese as sides. Corn nuggets were good, but mac and cheese was nothing crazy. I would get a different side than mac and cheese.
Overall, very good meal and would stop here again!

Biggest crab claws I have ever seen!!! All local seafood and the taste of everything is delicious 😋😍 The big fried shrimp dinner is my favorite, but the fish is also great! They also have many non-seafood options for people who do not want it. Portions of everything are huge!!! I always have leftovers for a couple days🥰🍤🦪🥗🍻🛥

The fried food was great and plentiful. The sides were great. The dressing for the salads were great. The gumbo is not good. Either from a box or very cheaply made and made w file and not fresh gulf shrimp. The West Indies salad was not good. Its very very frozen crabmeat w Italian dressing and sugar. Born and raised on the gulf and i was extremely disappointed. This is not the traditional/old school way of cooking. Anyone can batter and fry seafood. Thats mainly what they serve. Our server was great. We had to wait an hour to be seated then a while to be brought food. But the good service definitely made a difference. If you want to take a drive down the coast and want really good and traditional gulf coast cuisine, try mcelroys. It’s one of the few places left that serve real gulf coast cuisine. You will get a true experience. Real remoulade. Not canes sauce. True gulf coast gumbo made from scratch from a roux and unfrozen gulf shrimp. I have never had a west indies salad smothered in Italian dressing and i was raised on this salad. Same w the gumbo. But this is a great place to eat fried food.

After our trip to Dauphin Island we needed a nice seafood dinner before heading home. This restaurant was close enough that we had to try it.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and they made us feel at home. The staff was very friendly and we were served right after being seated. We started with the 1/2lb crab claws appetizer which was plenty for me and my wife. They were some of the most tender crab claws we've ever eaten. The sweet tea was good and we both ordered fried shrimp and grilled shrimp with a baked potato, okra, and corn nuggets for sides. Everything tasted like it had been freshly caught and fresh cooked.

We really enjoyed our dinner, and the price was very fair for a full meal with an appetizer. Hope we can come back next time we go to Dauphin Island.

Excellent!!!!! Found the gumbo lacking. Crab pups appetizer amazing. Crab claws and shrimp cooked perfectly. Picky Grandson ate the whole kids burger. Definitely worth the drive from Biloxi.

Love it! Awesome food!! Very tasty and simply Delicious! The staff is tremendously friendly and kind! I love this Restaurant, I have dined here several times and I continue to do so. The food is always served hot and freshly prepared.
