I highly recommend Captain Jim for your scalloping guide!! Captain Jim and Wendy were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our scalloping questions as well as questions we had about Homosassa and the surrounding area. Took us right to where we needed to be to get on some scallops. The boat was super comfortable to be on and rode great!! Everyone we mentioned to that we were chartering with captain Jim had nothing but great things to say about him and we see why! This has been a trip we have wanted to take for over 7 years and finely made it possible. Thanks again Captain Jim and Wendy, you were truly amazing!!

We literally just got off cpt Jim’s boat, and had a blast! It hasn’t been the best year for scalloping, according to most reports. Jim put us right on top of scallops allowing us to limit out before our time was up. It was very laid back and comfortable . I recommend Light Tackle Adventures to the first timer or the seasoned pro. Thanks Jim!

Capt. Jim was awesome! We Jumped a tarpon and had 3 follows shortly after leaving the boat ramp on artificial lures. We later had some trouble getting bait (the tide/ lack there of combined with crazy holiday boat traffic made it tough ) Capt. Jim never gave up he even stayed out 2 extra hours of top of our 8hr trip to make it happen for us. We got bait and shortly after hooked into a 140-150lb tarpon. It was unbelievable! After 46 min and some great advice throughout the fight we got the fish boat side for some pictures. Capt. Jim was great very easy going, knowledgeable and taught me a lot. If your looking for an experienced captain that goes above and beyond I would highly recommend him to anyone. I can’t wait to go back again !
