Loved this park. Well maintained and marked. Different types of trails, wide gravel for walks with little kids and side by side chats. More traditional hiking trails.

An excellent trail system of well marked hardened gravel roads and paths. Sturdy well built bridges and information kiosks add to the experience here. These trails are on the edges and through the middle of an old native graphite mine that was eventually associated with HD Thoreau’s family pencil business.

I love this spot! The flat easy to hike paths and the smaller more challenging woodsy ones are all beautiful. If you have just a short time you can do a loop or you could spend two hours exploring all the paths. So much to explore! The turquoise pond is amazing. I spent 30 minutes just watching turtles play on a log. Highly recommend this hiking spot to anyone. Great for any age and experience level.

3) the sounds
4) short hikes

also would love to study the plants and take water picture, it was super pretty
the rock place was interesting. went to early, need to check out the marshes when they grown in to see how it looks like

did about 4 trails wirh a friend within 2 hours and found tons of (i think) chipmunk holes maybe coyote/fox/rabbit holes on the knife trail
coming again and also visiting the village (sturbridge village) next door

downside, no public restroom
also it was a little tricky with the trails but its small so its hard to get too lost

Great place to hike with kids. You can pick if you want an easy flat walk or if you would like to hike up the mountain. Such a wonderful surprise tucked away.

Very nice trails for everyone! It can get busy there on the weekends, so I like to go during the week. Depending on the time of the year, it can be nice and quiet or sound like you are standing right next to 84 (guess depends on the weather and which way the wind is blowing?) Definitely worth a visit!

We walked the Arbitus trail. Nice and wide, easy to navigate even if you have special needs. There is one area that is uphill but not steep. The blue lagoon is a highlight along with the stone pillars. The kids had a great time ages 5-17.
