Distasteful service and management! Grew up and lived in Lansing many years!! They said they could take a funeral luncheon then I was told the owner did not want to take the luncheon 3 days before. If iI had not called for my mother, she would have never known they decided not to take the luncheon after talking to the banquet coordinator. The coordinator was apologetic and reached out brifely after the fact but reiterated the owner did not want to take the luncheon. This did not change the fact we were not going to be notified until I called to confirm one last time. Also they questioned the nature of what happened to the victim. I was disgusted and we never got one call from the owner. It was shady and very unprofessional. They should be ashamed they did this to anyone. Just something you do not do with something so sensitive in nature. It looks a certain way. Long story short, Gino's Steakhouse in Dyer Indiana took the luncheon a couple days before on short notice, due to what had happened. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place with the type of service and food we were offered last minute with NO issues or shady business. It took awhile to post this since we have been mourning but I know numerous people who attended my brother's service and were highly disappointed to hear about Lansing Knights of Columbus and how this was handled.
