Wow! 53 bass in one day!! Even if it was zero bass we would have been happy. Captain Nate is awesome. We had a blast! He was patient, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I had a great day on Headwaters lake today fishing with Captain Nate Shellen. He always knows where the lunkers are holding. Even on a windy day like today we still boated some nice fish. He is our go to guide on Headwaters.

Father Daughter Trip!

Spent two amazing days on Headwaters with Captain Nate to celebrate my fathers 77th birthday and check one off our bucket lists! To say it was perfect would be an understatement. Dad (aka Smokey) and I would’ve been thrilled with catching a few large mouth. We never dreamed we’d bring in fifty each day. Nate had the tackle and bait we needed, which made the trip from Pittsburgh to Florida easy. He knows all the great spots and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend booking with them.

Our memories made are priceless. If I could give a ten star rating, I would!

If you want to experience the best bass fishing that Florida has to offer look no further! My oldest son is obsessed with fishing so for his 5th grade graduation I surprised him with a bass charter with Captain Nate. I was heading to Cleveland a few months back and was sitting next to a guy that was flying home after a FL vacation and in conversation we started talking about bass fishing and I was showing him pictures of some peacock bass that my son had caught recently. He brought out his phone and said "you HAVE to book Captain Nate Shellen" and proceeded to show me pictures of tons of bass he caught with Nate just a few days prior. I'm thankful for that man and for giving me Nate's contact because we had the BEST day of fishing I've ever had, and created memories with my son that will last forever! Leading up to our charter Nate was telling me how much bass he was catching and I honestly didn't know whether or not to believe him. We'll let me tell you something, he was not lying! My son and I caught 60 bass! Yes, 60! A day my son and I will never forget. Nate was also great with my son. Takes patience to teach young kids and Nate showed my son a lot of new techniques that he will use forever. Thank you Captain Nate for an amazing day of bass fishing. Look forward to booking our next trip already.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Nate for his fishing guide service on Headwaters Lake. We booked a trip in September, and even though it was super hot, Nate knew exactly where to take us. We started catching bass back to back at the spillway on shiners, and even when it started raining, Nate found some spots with huge hydrilla patches that put us on. We ended the day with some topwater spooking action, catching some really nice bass. Nate's a great guide and knows his stuff. If you're looking for a fishing guide on Headwaters Lake, I highly recommend him.

captain nate is the go to guy for bass fishing. knowledgeable and great with kids. definitely trying to come back down again in the future. 5 stars all around. 55 fish for the day/ of course we lost a few also.
