It was absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful place and so much fun. We loved the donkey and emus . At the campground we had a blast playing volleyball, basketball, playing on the playground and at the beach. We also took a hike on one of the many trails and enjoyed smores by our campfire. The restrooms were very clean . There are also a lot of beautiful deer and lots of osprey birds. Definitely a must. Everyone is super friendly and its pet friendly.

One of my all time favorite staye parks ever! The outdoor areas, grounds and trails are maintained and the restrooms and parking areas are clean. The lodge is absolutely stunning. Everything is beautifully decorated and staffed. There are made educational pieces and a gift shop. We ate from the buffet from lunch amd everything was delicious and priced fairly. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prepare yourself for the stunning views this location has to offer!

The state park is aesthetically pleasing and well worth the excursion. During our visit, we encountered deer on the roadway and were able to capture a photograph of them.

If your in N Alabama, this place should be a stop. For a state park...it's extremely well kept and clean. Food was good in restaurant. Great views of the lake. Pretty close to town...walkable and quaint. Prices around aren't out of line. Cool place and not on the touristy side...

We spent a long weekend here with our fur baby. Fishing was great, the park was fantastic for our dog, plenty of places to explore and a dog park. We had a great time just walking and meeting new people. The staff were as friendly and helpful as could be. The view from our chalet was gorgeous.

Beautiful place. We stayed in the Chalets. Great views and privacy. Restaurant in the lodge was disappointing. Food quality was not worth the price on the menu.

Great relaxing fun, alone or with friends and family. This place literally has Everything , from camping to cabins ,from pic nics to bbq's , romantic tranquility to family fun. It's got it all, and all kinds of wildlife
