Arrowhead Lake offers a delightful experience, especially in December when the weather is cold yet sunny. The scenic beauty is enhanced by a decorated Christmas tree, creating a festive atmosphere. Enjoying coffee by the clean lakeside adds to the charm, although fishing is prohibited, as indicated by signage—despite some kids fishing nonetheless. The mountain road leading to the lake is breathtaking, and the area boasts multiple stores for shopping, dining, and motels. Free parking is a bonus. Overall, Arrowhead Lake is a wonderful place with great vibes that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Lake Arrowhead for a great hiking & vacation destination in the San Bernadino mountains near Big Bear & Running Springs. The water in the lake is crystal clear. There is a ski resort & cabins around the lake to rent. You can Air B&B condos & homes. In the winter, it is a winter wonderland. SkyPark becomes Santa’s Village with a skating rink. You can go shopping and choose a few restaurants for food at Lake Arrowhead Village. The food & shopping options are limited and not close to residential areas so you have to drive. This is why 4 not 5 stars. The path around the lake for a hike or walking the dogs is nice. It is worth a getaway though consider limited options.

The Arrowhead Lake sits at 5174 feet above sea level, The lake is at the top of the mountain and when you go up the mountain the view is very beautiful on both sides of the road, The pine trees along the road with beautiful scenery and atmosphere. When you arrive at the lake rent a boat and take a picnic in the lake and enjoy the picturesque views. You can have lunch in the restaurant located around the lake. I enjoyed the trip.

The place is located 13 miles north east of San Bernardino city limits. It was formerly called Little Bear Lake until aound 1920 when the Arrowhead Lake Company bought the lake and tge land surrounding it, then changed its name to Lake Arrowhead. They have a small shopping mall called Lake Arrowhead Village.

A relaxing, serene mountain community that forbids tourists on their private lake, but after several shots you can hop on a semi-fun boat tour which is one of the two things to do here besides eat.

There's mostly just a village with decent restaurants and shops, but it's usually crowded so get their by Noon before the gray hairs demand their dinner at two pm.

I say come here for the amazing views on the drive up or to not go to Big Bear.

Dreamiest place to escape the madness of urban life is Lake Arrowhead. Snow capped mountains, bubbling streams and creeks, nature exploding on every corner and the most down to earth community in California. Book an Airbnb or better yet pack your home and move to this idyllic part of the world.

It is extremely overrated considering its not open to the public(boat club members only I think) you cannot bike or walk around the lake. It is far more boring than big bear
