I don't understand why the ratings are so high. This place was bad. We waited 40+ minutes for are food after we sat down. Before we sat down 2 other tables had complained about waiting for their food and that should have been a sign. My wife's order was wrong. What really pisses me off is when you tell them medium for a steak and they still burn it. Not once did they ask after they dropped are food off if we were ok. It's like they knew they messed up the order and definitely didnt want to hear us complain about the wait time.
Only eat at this place if you see less then 4-5 tables seated. Unless you have time to wait and you want you order wrong and food burnt.

We loved this place. The food was delicious, the servings were large and the staff was great. I have no complaints. This isn't a fancy sit-in restaurant it is a homeade meal in a Kountry Kitchen.

My grandson took me to eat there for my birthday. We ordered the Meatloaf meal. Our first bite was a delicious surprise! My grandson ordered an entire meatloaf to be made to take home. The best meatloaf we’ve eaten! The owner was so nice also. He sat and chat with us for awhile. We’ll be back for sure.

Awesome Experience! I hadn't been here since the late 90s. Delicious breakfast. The waitress was really attentive and fun. She had only been here two weeks.

Sadly we will no longer dine here after today. The eggs Benedict had broken hollandaise sauce, it looks disgusting. The server plopped it in front of me announcing it tastes the same, it’s just broken. I was a server many years and would never present a plate so undesirable. The eggs were buried under the sauce, and the egg whites were not fully cooked, with clear parts gelling together. At $20 for the meal, it’s a disgrace. For any amount tbh. Thankfully our dog doesn’t mind how it looks, or lack of a smooth texture. While normally we feel welcome and enjoy the ambiance of a country diner, today we felt in the way as the staff were busy chatting in back. The potatoes were good, the other meal was nice. Seems standards are significantly reduced, making me question other aspects they may reduce including the quality of ingredients and food safety practices.

After experiencing the worst customer service EVER at RAMONA CAFE as soon as we walked in there, we left!! Had seen Kountry Kitchen on the way and we all said, let's go there. BEST CHOICE EVER! Thank you Kountry Kitchen for the most excellent customer service and the breakfast,no to go boxes needed! You guys saved the morning If you are in Ramona,Ca for a stay, skip the other place and come here even if it was on diners drive ins and dives! Thank you again every one at Kountry Kitchen

This is a great home style American restaurant serving copious amounts of delicious food with each of their dishes so bring a healthy appetite. The food is absolutely delicious no matter which of their many American classic dishes you choose. The atmosphere is homey and warm. They are right on the main drag with plenty of parking around back. The wait staff is incredibly friendly despite being busy (at least with each of my visits) I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in or passing through the area.

Perfect cozy breakfast place. The food was great, I got the large biscuits and gravy, which was only $1 more than the medium so I got it but it was definitely so large I didn’t need that much haha (photo of my hand for reference). I could have been full from a small probably. But it was amazing and I have no regrets! We also got the abc omelette which was amazing and the hash browns were so good and crispy. It was really busy when we got there but we didn’t have to wait too long.
