One of the highlights of our last minute trip to Kingsport and definitely a must visit!! The volunteers running the carousel and gift shop are great and carousel itself is INCREDIBLE. My husband and I rode it twice and still didn’t find all the details on the ride.

Had so much fun on the hand crafted, full restored carousel...and it was only $1 per person. The ride operator was so friendly and even selected the music specifically for us when he found out it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Nestled across from Food City, Kingsport Carousel and Park has plenty of parking right at the front. Inside there are bathrooms, a little gift shop, and the Carousel. The Carousel is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but open Wednesdays through Sundays. Each person is $1 per ride. The ride lasts 3 1/2 minutes each time. 5 minute breaks in between each ride. Last ride is at 4:50pm before closing at 5:00pm. Both the lady and gentleman attendants are kind with plenty of information to tell. Some animals will go up and down, some will stay still. (This is good for children who may have a fear of heights) The park is free and right outside of the Carousel, gated and fenced, and has plenty of room for children to play and run around. Definitely worth the stop!

The love that went and continually goes into this community effort carousel is just wonderful. As an artist on it, I am a bit biased. But the volunteers and staff do a great job of maintaining the structure and interacting with the kids. My son loves it and at $1 per ride, a great time can be had by all.

If you are looking for something quick and fun to do with the family, you can always bring the kids here. It's only a dollar for a three minute ride the staff is friendly and there are plenty of different animals to choose from for the ride. They also have a gift shop to get something for the memory.

We reserved the venue for a private birthday party. It was a success. Place is very neat and clean. The children had so much fun. Although the only thing that is a bit of a disappointment is that the venue can host up to 100 people and we had about 50 guests and there was not enough tables or chairs for our guests.
