This is the second one of these that we ran into along our Route 66 trip (first one was in Grants NM). Nothing to it really, you just drive your car underneath and take a picture. Cool nonetheless. Also cool was the Power Station Route 66 museum in that same parking lot. There is an admission fee ($10?), but lots of cool history in there. Across the street is an old locomotive engine and caboose, also worth checking out.

A fun photo opportunity on Route 66 for you and your vehicle. Located in the visitor centre/Power House car park. There has been a short queue of 2-3 cars when I have visited, I would advise hanging back whilst waiting in line so that your vehicle does not end up in the background of someone else’s photo. Free.

This is a prominent photo opportunity outside the Visitor Center in Kingman and perhaps the largest and most attractive one on the part of Route 66 that I have traversed. From the far side of the gate, the visitor center is also visible. It is neatly leveled with the main street and is accessible for the differently abled. ♿They also have huge free parking with reserved slots for wheelchair-bound people.

Came across this venue while on a self drive tour of the iconic Route 66.
A really simple idea that has been tastefully done that provides so much enjoyment to visitors like me as well as a timeless momento to share with friends and family.
As mentioned, it's located on Route 66 in the carpark of the Kingman Visitor Centre.

The Great wok down memory lane for anyone familiar with route 66 in the history of early America. Great for all ages and lovely gift shops for your souvenirs.

Fun area with a nice gift shops and museum. Our kiddos especially loved the little train they could watch in the bigger gift shop. You can walk across the way look at the trains on display and get a bite to eat at a restaurant.

A nice spot in Kingman to take pictures of your Route 66 journey.
In mid-August the place was not crowded and we waited only a few minutes before being able to pass through the shield-gate.
I recommend to stop here if you have some spare time during your vacation. Close by there is Kingman visitor center and historic downtown, worth visiting.

The Route 66 sign is gimmicky yet somehow draws you in. Everyone loves taking a photo there, and perhaps the best part about it is it draws attention to the nearby train and museum, which are worth a visit if you’re interested in learning about the local history of this small desert town.
