We had an absolute blast! Rick (leaving shortly unfortunately) and Sarah were our guides and both kept us safe as well as entertained. Several of our kids got into a splash battle with Rick (which they absolutely lost).

The weather was gorgeous, scenery was amazing and the river was great for our beginner kayaking family. Check them out and make sure to tip your guide, but not your boat!

Was a pretty fun experience overall renting and paddling a Kayak up the river, minus the staff loudly complaining about me showing up and wanting to rent their final 5:30-7:30 timeslot. I arrived at 5:07. I would have arrived significantly earlier if this company had mentioned on their website or listings that they DO NOT rent Kayaks in Morris, only at this location. That confusion cost me significant time and additional miles.

Overall, it was fun and the views were great, but it was quite disorganized and somewhat rude staff. Also, please fix your website.

Had a lot of fun doing kayaking with family. 10 year old boy enjoyed his first kayak with us.. went on Thursday and we were only people doing kayaking leaving us the whole place to enjoy..

View was stunning!

We had an excellent time! Great tour guides. Great for almost any novice. The skill level is minimal. We saw eagles, silver carp, turtles and more. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful. I would highly recommend you try this 2 hour guided tour. Kayaks and life jackets provided. You can also use your own kayak and gear if you wish.

Great trip, really nice time kayaking up the river and seeing the bluffs. If you are ok with red heads who have been in the sun all day, Rich is a great guide. All kidding aside, Rich and Jared made this a fun outing. Water is shallow and warm, so a great trip for any age.

First time kayaking for our family and it was such a great experience! The short instructional videos we were sent to watch were very helpful on what to expect. Though it showered most of the time as we paddled out, it was still fun and the sun came out for the last half! Our main guide, Rich, was entertaining and informative. Our secondary guide, Dave, kept a watchful eye on the group and was very patient as some of us beginners were getting a handle of the steering. Scenery was beautiful and we spotted some turtles along the way! Will definitely do it again the next time we're in Starved Rock.
