I only got to stay a little while here the spot 13 by the river it was gorgeous the grass around the campsites like a manicured lawn there’s not a weed in it. It was like walking on shag carpet in my bare feet. I don’t know how many campsites it was a cozy spot.

The shower is good and hot. It’s like a park in the river just beautiful behind the campsite. It helped the folks to next to me super friendly, but I highly recommend this campsite. I was in a tent on an RV lot.

A critical piece of information for some is that if you get in after dark and there is a spot available, you can use the self registration I think it would like 36 bucks which is cheap but what is these days? At least I could get a spot at the last minute.

Honestly, the river was too high for my kids to enjoy the beach but I have been going since I was 2 years old and I'm 24 and bring my own kids now. It has always been a great park and had lots to do. The playground is still fun like I remember. My church used to do Easter egg hunting at this park and we always had a blast. I REALLY love this park!

The only downsides would be if you are allergic to wasps/hornets/bees as they like to hang around the bathroom doors...and if you don't like sand in or on your clothes.

Eclipse 2024, our group of 54 stayed in campers and tents for 4 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jacksonport State Park! The park rangers were full of information, helpful, and friendly. The park is clean and well maintained. The river is beautiful! Some of our group even enjoyed paddle boards!

Large sites. Great staff. Beautiful campground with the area full of much history. Park rangers and staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing and all your needs are taken care. Park rangers took time to visit with each camper individually. We even got a personal tour of the courthouse with a wonderful female Park ranger. I wish I would have gotten her name.
Truly looking forward to our next visit

We enjoyed our visit to this park for the 2024 solar eclipse. They were well prepared for the event and all the employees were extremely polite. The information center has a bunch of historical pieces and info on the top floor, don’t miss it. We walked the short trail along the river and the nature. I even got to see a pileated woodpecker! Overall a great little park.

It's like camping on the golf course, Newer bathhouse is 20 feet off grade (ya think it floods here) but there is an almost ADA ramp up to it but the hand rails are way too low on the stairs and only on one side, even children will have problems. The pads are concrete and plumb and level. We even have cell service here. Surprise Surprise surprise just loved the cold showers after someone complained about the scalding hot ones, the water is on a premixed button so we can't adjust the temperature, sadistic Rangers, must love the screaming children.

We brought our camper down and stayed for the night. The camping spots were very spacious and quiet. The mosquitoes were not bad and the bathhouse was clean. We had zero cell service(verizon). We also talked to a few of the other campers and from what I gathered the only way to catch fish was from a boat. Because of that, cell service, and no boat rentals I gave it 4/5 stars. It would be perfect for the older generation that wants to come and relax! We would come and stay again!
