My wife and I recently completed a 15-day Everest Base Camp group trek with iTrek Everest, and the experience exceeded all our expectations!

From the very beginning, the communication with Rick, the owner, was excellent. He answered all our questions promptly and helped us feel fully prepared for the adventure ahead. Once we arrived, the Operations Manager in Kathmandu, Sonam, worked absolute miracles to ensure every detail was perfect—we felt so well taken care of from start to finish.

Our trek guides were simply incredible—knowledgeable, understanding, and always ready to help. They went above and beyond to resolve any issues and made the entire trek smooth and stress-free.

We also loved our group! Everyone was kind, fun, and supportive, which says so much about the type of people iTrek Everest attracts. It truly felt like we were sharing this incredible journey with friends.

The logistics were flawless—accommodations, food, and every other detail were taken care of with such care and precision. Even when we were hit with delays due to uncontrollable weather issues in the mountains they still worked their hardest to make everything work out ok. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas without worrying about anything else.

If you’re considering trekking to Everest Base Camp, we can’t recommend iTrek Everest highly enough.

My husband and I did the EBC trek with iTREK Everest for our honeymoon and we had the best time ever.
We were aware that August is not an ideal time to do it, but Rick did an amazing job making us aware of all the pros and cons before we booked and was always super helpful and responsive.
We were also lucky enough to have Sonam as our guide, who welcomed us at the airport in Kathmandu and took us to the Nepali Ghar hotel, where we found a cake and flowers as a surprise in our beautiful room! He checked all our gear to make sure we had everything we needed, then he took us out for dinner, during which he introduced us to dal bhat (power 24 hour!) and gave us plenty of information about the trek.
Even though we were mentally prepared for delays and cancellations as it was monsoon season, we managed to reach Lukla in the first attempt and started our trek to EBC straight away.
The trek would have not been the same without our amazing porter/superhero Mahesh, who not only carried our bags all the way to Gorak Shep and back, but also prepared sliced fresh apples for us everyday, always made sure we were taken care of and even made us win at Uno! 🙂
Thanks to Sonam we did't have to worry about a thing apart from walking and enjoying ourselves. He took care of all the permits and checks, got us the best rooms at the tea houses, made sure we were taking care of our health, gave us plenty of time everyday to take pictures and enjoy the amazing nature and breathtaking landscapes and provided us with TONS of information about what we were seeing (or what we were supposed to see behind the clouds 😀 ) and, also, about sherpa culture and history.
All the tea houses we stayed at were great and the food was awesome. We especially appreciated the traditional sherpa dishes and never ever had a bad meal.
All the local people we met during the trek were just wonderful, we always felt welcome. We even had the honour to meet Kanchha Sherpa, the last living member of the 1953 expedition to Everest, in Namche Bazaar!
We loved seeing how Sonam and Mahesh still get excited about those amazing places even though they’ve been there hundreds of times already and we had so much fun with them. We decided to call ourselves the “Poncho Gang” as it rained all day for the first three days, but even though the weather was not great at first and the trek was challenging at time, the mood was always great.

So it’s safe to say that thanks to the iTREK Everest team this was one of the best experiences of our lives, something we will cherish forever. We will definitely go back to Nepal as soon as we have the chance and do another trek with them. We cannot recommend them enough.

Thank you again for everything Sonam, Mahesh and Rick and see you soon!

We trekked to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo with iTrek Everest in April 2024. It was one of the best experiences of our lives so far.

Rick and Bec were great to communicate with before the trek and answered all of our questions quickly.

Sonam welcomed us at the airport on our arrival and took us to an amazing lunch with our guide. He also arranged for the hire of sleeping bags for the trek.

We cannot praise our guide PG enough. He went well beyond what we expected and got us up (and down!) the spectacular hills and mountain passes. He is a bit of a celebrity and knew many people on the trail, which led to some authentic dining and cultural experiences. He really cares for his job and was eager to make sure that we were comfortable. His attention to detail made this trek extra special. He is a legend!

Our porter Fahindra was great! He was so fast between tea houses, and often came back after dropping off our bags to provide additional assistance and company. A true humble hero. We couldn't have done it without him.

The pace of the trek was good. It allowed us to acclimatize and avoid a lot of the symptoms of altitude sickness.

The highlights of the trek include making it to EBC, getting up and down Cho La Pass (thanks to PG and some other guides), Gokyo, as well as the food, scenery, yaks, and especially the people we met along the way.

Thank you to iTrek Everest for making this dream trip come true. We would not hesitate to book another trip through them in future. And hopefully PG can guide us again.

We did the private 15 day EBC Trek with Itrek to celebrate my 30th birthday! I cannot recommend this company enough!!!

The trek- The trek is absolutely beautiful! I would recommend adding in a day or two for buffer days. Sometimes flights in and out of Lukla can get cancelled due to weather. Everything went smoothly for us, but it was nice to have days built in just in case!

Lhakpa- Our guide, Lhakpa, and our porter, Chakra, were AMAZING! We enjoyed our time so much with these two! Lhakpa was always so positive and happy. He did a great job explaining history of different things on the trek, pointing out different mountains, and just giving fun facts about the trek and Nepal. He always helped us order our food and would make sure we understood what everything was. While in the tea houses, we passed the time by playing different games with him. He always made sure we were prepared for the next day and knew what to expect. Chakra came to base camp with us and offered to carry our bags to make it easier on us! Both of them were always willing to stop and take pictures of us.

Rick- From the minute we began looking into booking this trip, Rick was extremely responsive and helpful, no matter how many stupid questions we asked! Our interaction with him is what made us ultimately decide that Itrek was who we wanted to book with!

Sonam- Soman picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel, even though our flight came in extremely late. During the trek, we made a last minute decision that we wanted to take the helicopter back down to Lukla instead of hiking down. Sonam worked hard to schedule this and make it happen! When we got back to Kathmandu, he walked us around the city. I was trying to find a specific gift for my mom and he helped look until we found the perfect one! He gave us great restaurant recommendations. We did a half day city tour with him and had a blast! He is very knowledgeable about all things Nepal and EBC! One night, he took us to a cultural dinner and show and it was SO much fun! He also took us back to the airport.

Itrek- Itrek really is a wonderful company! As a travel agent, I would not hesitate to send any of my clients with Itrek and I would easily go on another trip with them. They take care of everything, down to the smallest details. They go out of their way to take care of their clients and make their trips feel special! One of my favorite things is that while on the trek, your breakfast, lunch and dinner is included! Many companies do not include meals. It was nice not having to worry about pulling out enough money for all of our meals.

My recent trek to Everest Base Camp with iTrek Everest in April 2024 was truly unforgettable.

Sonam from iTrek Everest deserves a special mention for his exceptional tour planning skills, ensuring every aspect of our journey was seamless and memorable despite some last-minute itinerary changes due to flight cancellations.

Our guide, PG Sherpa, not only possessed extensive knowledge of the region but also showered us with unparalleled hospitality, sharing his passion for the Himalayas and Everest's rich history.

Special thanks to the brave porter, Bhola, whose strength and kindness made our trek even more enjoyable.

I highly recommend iTrek Everest for anyone seeking a well-planned and fulfilling adventure in the majestic Everest region.

Thank you iTrek Everest team for an unforgettable experience!

We did the EBC trek in May with iTrek and it was amazing. We were not seasoned travelers so having airport pick-up, local flights, shuttles ect. Set up for us was very convenient.

Our guide was knowledgeable and fun, we got to experience a lot of local places we otherwise would have missed. Overall a solid trip and we would use iTrek again

We just finished the EBC trail with Itrek Everest. My group of 4 would rate them A+++++. Honest, sincere and went way above and beyond top notch service. I found Rick Nooft through YouTubers, Kara and Nate. Right from the get go chat Rick was amazing with all the details, very accessible and very encouraging step by step.
Once we got close to the date we started messaging with Rick and Sonam. Sonam met us at the airport and then got us prepped for the trip and in fact went with us for a day and a half. The highlight of the trip wasn’t the amazing trail, nature or the raw beauty. It was Furi, Chetan, and Sonam JR the 3 guides who I can now call my friends. They were 3 steps ahead in service, and care. Chetan led the youngsters in our group and Furi took care of my wife and I as we are slower.
Every tea house we stayed in was the best in each village, little extras in each place. They were so attentive to all of us, 4 in my group and 3 in the group that joined us. We cut our trip short a couple of days on the way back as some of our young ones got sick and they seamlessly got us into helicopters. Flying out of Lukla should have been a mess as the weather had played havoc but Furi and one of the owners Sonam relentlessly made calls to make sure we got out on the first plane.
I cannot stop singing their praise because they are the gold standard and they are very reasonable in their pricing. Thank you Itrek Everest team, (Rick, Sonam, Furi Lama, Chetan, and Sonam). You guys are the best and my friends from America and India are coming soon to experience what we enjoyed.

We trekked to Everest Base Camp in December 2023. From start to finish iTrek were extremely professionalism and the experience of Sonam, Myas and the four Sherpas was something I didn’t appreciate until we were underway. We were in really good hands.

There were four Father Daughter couples in our tour, that and the fact we all knew each other from Australia made it a really memorable trip which I will never forget

A couple of highlights for me:-

Playing the Mafia game at night with Sonam, Myas and Lahkba. Myas and Lahkba were almost supernatural with their intuition at times.

The amazing views and commentary from Sonam

Tom going for a swim in the river in December

All in all I cannot recommend iTrek Everest highly enough. You won’t find better guides in Nepal
