We have signed up our out-of-town friends for lessons a few times, and it has always been a highlight of their visit. This time they were up within 15 minutes of being in the water and experienced dolphins and a friendly seal in the surf! Great instructors and unforgettable memories were created in two short hours!

My daughter and I met with Thomas to take an SUP tour in Santa Barbara. His communication was prompt and clear while setting up logistics for that morning. We had a super fun time! Thomas took us on a tour that matched our skill just right. Would highly recommend!

I CAUGHT MY FIRST WAVE.

One of my favorite experiences in the Santa Barbara area!

I was quite nervous to take my first surf lesson, but Thomas was able to instill confidence in me before we entered the water. He taught me the proper techniques and the importance of safety and commitment.

I love that he is transparent on good or bad surf days, and finds the best local surf spot to ensure you can catch a wave and have fun!

After one lesson, I signed up for the membership soo…. I think sums up how great it was. Had a blast!

Our 3 kids had a private lesson with Thomas and they absolutely loved it! Thomas was great with the kids with clear instructions and teaching at the start before getting into the water. Great introduction to surfing, good amount of time for each kid to have loads of practice. Would book again the next time we’re in Santa Barbara!

We wanted our 16 year old to learn to surf while we were in CA from the east coast. After booking online, Thomas texted the evening before our lesson to arrange a time and place that was both convenient for our touring schedule as well as ideal for surfing. We ended up not being able to go at the ideal time, but Thomas made sure it still worked. Thomas started the lesson with lots of verbal explanation on the beach, which we weren't sure would work for our son, but once in the water, Thomas had our son up on a wave by the third attempt! Our son said his instruction in the water was clear and helpful, and he had a total blast for the full 90 minute lesson. I would highly recommend iSurf and Thomas to any beginner!

My daughter has been surfing with iSurf for almost a year now with the After School Program. She is 8 years old and the amount of growth she has experienced is amazing. Thomas, Zach, and all of the instructors are phenomenal. Most of her lessons have been with Thomas and Zach; they both know how to push her without making her uncomfortable. She has overcome fears, is developing a love for the ocean, and loves when she has surf lessons. I could not be more grateful that we found iSurf during the Covid-19 pandemic. The life lessons my daughter is learning about perseverance, keeping her body strong and healthy, caring for the ocean, and believing in herself and her abilities are far beyond what I expected her to learn. I recommend Thomas to everyone who asks!
