Scott is awesome! What a great experience, so knowledgeable, so fun. Even as a St Pete native, he made it even more magical to be out on the water! Scott truly loves what he does and where he’s from. I can’t recommend island kayak adventures enough!!

We had a great time kayaking to Shell Key Preserve with Scott and Carissa. They shared knowledge about the animals and the area and helped us come back with great shell finds. Thoughtful touches included provided shell bags and turning all of the boats around to head back to the launch site while we all meandered on Shell Key. We saw lots of animals! Cormorants, conchs and dolphins! I was hoping we could kayak into the mangroves a bit, but the tide was too low.

Such a great tour! We were nervous because we had both only gone kayaking once or twice but Scott made the whole process very easy and we are so glad we did it. The mangrove tunnels were very cool to experience and the beach we visited was perfect. The water was so calm and beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Scott & Karissa are wonderful kayaking guides! Perfect amount of time kayaking, shelling, and touring the mangroves. Scott kept us entertained with so many stories and amazing random facts about the history of the area and the eco system. We even saw dolphins! Book your kayak adventure with this small family business! You’ll have the best time!

Scott was a great LOCAL guide with lots of information, experiences and stories about the area and the wildlife. Saw dolphins, stingrays, bonnet bead shark, numerous other fish species, osprey, herons, and some friendly cormorants. A really nice break on Shell Key. Highly recommend Scott and Karrisa, they did an awesome job from beginning to end. We’ll definitely do a trip with them again.

I had a wonderful time kayaking yesterday with Island Kayak Adventures! It was a gorgeous day and Scott and Karissa were great guides and hosts. I appreciate their love, respect and knowledge of nature and the area. Kayaking through the mangrove tunnels was quite the adventure and stopping at Shell Key preserve was a breathtaking experience. Scott was also very responsive when I texted, asking for recommendations. I highly recommend their company!!
